Issue is where does that leave Newcastle. I am pretty sure someone who tested positive now played that game and it could be an issue of false negatives/long incubation period.

Under contract tracing rules isnt anyone who has been in contact with our affected players and staff (ie. all the Newcastle players) required to self isolate. That means newcastle can’t play either.

The League and/or the Government have to act and suspend the season. I understand t financial implications but it’s just too dangerous.

there's only 2 weeks between the FA Cup rounds 3 & 4 so if we don't get cleared in time for the Birmingham game I can see issues in our participation, given we'd have 2 league games and a League Cup semi to fit in with the European commitments in Feb.

We’re already a game behind, so it would be three Prem games.

I don’t give a Flying Fortress about the football. All I care about is that all players and staff affected get well soon.
It’s only a flaming game, this virus is dangerous and all that matters is people’s lives. The stupid football authorities should never have started this season and definitely not the flipping cups. If any player from any team dies from this it will be their fault. Money and TV all that matters to them.

UEFA and the media found City guilty of breaking FFP rules without knowing the the facts and when City were innocent. So incredibly you could be right

I think they got the result much earlier today and there were several meetings with health officials and premier league to determine the next steps.
