Sprint didn’t bring a cessation in 2020 though. Do you mean summer?
German Health minister is reported as saying that Hancock told him UK would have herd immunity by the Spring (through vaccination).

I don't think that's herd immunity but getting through Phase 1, and vaccinating the group that carries 99% of mortality risk would effectively end this epidemic as a national preoccupation.

It depends on being able to execute the vaccination on that scale and no vaccine evasion.

Also just a guess, but presume there hospitals are not under the increased pressure other tier 4 areas are in
Logic has nothing to do with what is going on with Liverpool. They will end up in tier 4. Way too late for their citizens sadly.

The new variant is probably rampant in GM and it will be heading fast west down the M62 because it can.

Only lockdown had a chance of stopping it.

In a pandemic the countries that win act BEFORE the mess happens when they see it coming. They do not wait until your house has burnt down to call the fire brigade.

Hancock is acting after it is already too late nearly every time.

Great. Another few weeks without the gym.
No football or golf for me, but as I know families have lost loved ones and some mates who have lost their job and might lose their home I am not going to complain - it is darkest before the dawn and next few months going to be tough for many people.

This guy is normally right on point with stuff (or so I find anyway) but it's not the first time he's been critical of the Oxford vaccine, regarding process and data. He doesn't seem convinced. Wonder if there really is vested interests in other vaccines/profit with him or what the script is, but it's strange as I say he's usually a decent follow. Also wonder if his views are reflected pretty much everywhere else in the EU and the US and what this actually means, if anything. He's been (rightly) very critical of the US handling of the pandemic.

There's been as much scientific unity around the world as there has been political unity. Too much parochialism and too many vested interests, but I suppose we're all alike in that regard; anyone fancy a shot of Sputnik V or a Sinopharm Sling?... :-(

MHRA said today lots of the data they’ve been given isn’t in the public domain as yet

so the Americans having a pop aren’t working with the same data set

There’s a lot of stuff going on over there with big pharma etc that makes me uneasy

not at all suprised to see people pushing the more expensive vaccines so the public over there request them

I know mate. I may have come across a bit of dick there as there is far more important things to worry about.

Going to the gym was the only thing keeping me sane in all this.

Can someone help me with the rules please.
My girlfriend is in a tier 4 area (northwich)
I am Trafford (tier 4). We both live alone and have formed a support bubble.
I wanted to spend NYE with her tomorrow evening. I've looked at the rules and I'm not sure whether I am allowed to go.
It mentions if you form a support bubble you can meet am I correct?
