It's a horrible pandemic and it has been a shit year, however I like others am of the opinion that there is more to this than just the pandemic now. Maybe a big reset and draconian control of the worldwide society is what is happening amongst this. If so is that a bad thing?

There is no reasoning behind any of that. It may or may not take longer to roll out than spring, but why would vaccines not make a return to normality by summer and next season likely.

I agree. A dose of reality would probably be the best vaccination for most. Even if people are called for an initial vaccination in April/May, they'll still have to come for the second vaccination at a time when they might be thinking of summer/foreign holidays. If they don't have that vaccination and choose instead to pursue their own ends, then that will weaken overall immunity and society may remain unnecessarily vulnerable come the autumn. Wiser perhaps to temper expectations now.

He’s also been very quiet on the Everton reaction to the postponed football match. It’s no big surprise when peole vote in a Scouser to be Mayor of Manchester

Fair point but kids have been mixing in small numbers on the Avenue where I live.

I simply don't trust anything the government says anymore.
They have consistently made inaccurate predictions, lied about statistics and generally managed the pandemic in a very poor way.
We were told in September that Christmas would seen a return to normality and look where we are.
Lockdowns don't work, tiers dont work.
What happens if the vaccine roll out fucks up?

I'm a bit confused by his argument here and I may have misread your post so apologies if I have, but you say he's anti-covid so I'm guessing he doesn't think it exists, yet he's saying the ICU beds have been cleared for people coming in? So they've cleared the beds ready to be available for people who are suffering from something he doesn't think exists?

My kids primary School going back in Sept was the best event to happen in the last 9 months for me. Her mental health improved 10 fold within days of being back. She got through 12 weeks with no isolation problems and has once again thrived when In the previous 6 months she was floundering.
 
Appears the USA will have vaccinated around 3 million people by tonight when the target was 20 million. Even if that target was unrealistic, given that 14 million doses have been distributed, it is not progressing exactly smoothly. Hard to imagine that countries found wanting horribly in managing the pandemic are suddenly going to become better in 2021.

Poor wording from me, I meant anti everything that surrounds covid, such as restrictions etc. I made it sound like he didn't think it exists, my poor wording. Actually I finally found the data
