It’s from the Daily United Express.

But the quotes look legit, bar the last sentance.

Messi is now free to negotiate a move away from Barcelona but insists he’ll wait until the summer before making a decision on his future.

"No [I won't talk with other clubs because] I don't have anything clear until the end of the year," the Argentina international added.

"I am going to wait for the season to finish. The important thing is to think about the team and to try and win titles, not to get distracted with other issues.

"I don't know what will happen. I am focused on what we have in front of us over the next six months.

“It would not be right to tell you what I am going to do after that because even I don't know."

(last sentance)

Barcelona star Lionel Messi is ‘being pressured’ into staying at the Nou Camp by his own family, according to reports.

So hes coming then!

Not taking anything away from that brilliant 1st half display against Chelsea. But with Messi in the team, I know, who wouldn't have played, City would have scored 10! OK, 8. Maybe 7? ;-)

De Bruyne, Foden, and Messi will destroy teams.
The person who gave us the pace to stretch them?

He'll only say he's leaving when everything is packed, his family are already on the plane, the airport tannoy is saying "Last call for Mr Messi" ... then he''ll just tell Barcelona he's off ... and fucking leg-it!

I have to say whoever looks after Messi from a profile view does an outstanding job.
The guy has hardly put a foot wrong in media terms - I'm Barca through and through, but read between the lines and I'd sell my granny for several million more.
Messi is (or was depending on your view) a magnificent footballer - but imagine the circus around the club with him on board. We're not exactly media darling's as it is, the first minor hint of an issue and all hell would break loose

You said it yourself, we're not media darlings.

Win the league get 100 points- limited media reports.
Win every domestic trophy in one season- very limited media reports.

Liverpool win first title in 30 years.
Documentary.
Saturated media reports.
Headlines about it everywhere.
Klopp this klopp that blah blah blah.

We could sign prime Messi, prime Ronaldo, have pep and klopp and mourinho in charge yet these cunts in the press will find something negative.

I hope we sign him purely to boil the press's piss and hopefully their heads might explode.

Add to that on every TV prog and radio show Gerry Marsden all fuckin over it

Yeah but for us it is the equivalent of asking out a woman whose boyfriend is unsure of his sexuality, she says will
hang around and see what he decides. Not a great place to be and most of us would just find someone with a genuine interest.

LOL what an analogy! Very creative

"I can't say anything about [Lionel] Messi," he told Catalunya Radio.

"Anything I say, even if it is obvious, can make a misunderstood headline. It's clear that Messi has earned the right to choose what he wants to do. He's the best in the world.

"In previous situations when there were rumours about a potential departure from Barca, he had some obstacles. Now he has nothing that blocks him. He will choose where to play. We're aware of all the players in the world, but we don't participate in individual decisions. As Manchester City CEO, I can't say anything."

I saw some of those quotes presented in part. Proving once again, context is everything.

interesting indeed.

Did Sergio offer to swop squad numbers with him and did they change something on Twitter?

Wow, that's a very thought provoking statement.

I think he still has a lot left to offer, just think he is totally fed up at Barcelona. They wasted his prime years.
