Clear message, save for 'vectors of transmission' and 'fair wind in our sails', I thought he delivered that clearly and without embellishment. Interesting that he put the roll-out as belonging to the NHS. Is it the NHS that sets the levels?

People across the whole country must now stay at home apart from five exceptions:

  • for work, if people cannot work from home, such as those in the construction sector or key workers
  • to shop for necessities such as food or medicines
  • to exercise once per day at a local location. This can include with one other person from outside someone's household or support/childcare bubble
  • to provide care or help to vulnerable people
  • to attend medical appointments or medical care, or to flee the threat of harm or violence.
normal service has resumed for some then

Everywhere is going up, up and up and these are just one day rises. Scary,

Too many stats and numbers within the first two sentences, laying more confusion onto what should be a simple message.
The common man doesn't need to know the percentages and fractions in order to get the message.
Again puts the responsibility onto the people - follow the rules or it'll be your fault.
Shifting the vaccination target into a set of narrower groups, making it harder to fail (again).

He's looking a lot older, would be right at home on a park bench.

They are relying a lot on the vaccines here.
Just wait until the south African one arrives here and the vaccines dont work.
I don't believe a single word this government says anymore.

6 weeks head down.
Absolutely. Time for the country to take this seriously now as a whole and finally get through this. It’s going to be a grim 2/3 months but this should give us the opportunity now to get infection rates down and get the key workers and vulnerable vaccinated. It need us all to do our bit and follow the rules and now needs the government to deliver on the targets to get the top 4 tiers vaccinated. No excuses now and needs everyone to stick together and support this.
