Colin Bell RIP - Ian Cheeseman interview with Jon Bell (P142)

My dads favourite player i always remember asking my dad why the called him nijinsky he replied" because he has the lungs of a racehorse he could run all day".Very sad day to be a blue hope he gets the respect from both red and blue he deserves tommorow rip the king.

He was before my time, but both my dad, uncle, and grandads always said he is the best player we have ever had.

RIP Colin

Absolutely fkin gutted that Colin Bell has died.

Me and my dad sat in the citizens hospitality lounge so many times waiting for him to come in so my dad could meet him. They would say "oh, hes coming, he's coming" and I'd get bored with waiting.
After an hour or so after the match I'd say "come on dad, we need to go" and I could tell that my dad would have given anything to meet him, would have sat there all day if he had to.

Now he's died and I wish I would have stayed and waited.

I've just said to my dad "if we ever get out of this covid mess I promise I'll take you to the hospitality again dad". Sadly won't be seeing Colin Bell though.

Rip Colin. I never saw you play but my dad absolutely loved you to the bones.

Right now I am feeling the emotion of the Newcastle game Colin came back from injury. I admit the tears were rolling that he was back after all Colin had gone through, tonight they are tears os sadness and thanks to a player who brought so much to City and England. A true legend.condolences to his family RIP The King
