COVID Watch

We shouldn’t be training or playing while the virus is spreading through our squad. If we can’t contain the virus, the whole club should be shut down for two weeks.
It's obvious it's raging through the CFA. Keep an eye on the coming days for United... guarantee they catch it from one of our players tonight (something that I do not wish for btw) - PL testing is not fit for purpose and it's pounds before health atm. Players should strike.

Football fast becoming more of a farce . Teams will win or get relegated purely on how bad the pandemic hits them.

Think about that leagues and cups won not on skill, or lack of injuries but won on the back that the pandemic didn't hit them as hard as their opponents.

Thread title doesn't have the same ring to it anymore..

Speedy recoveries for all concerned hopefully!

At this stage you have to question how for we let it go before we have a break. We have nearly a full team out now. Am sure the media will spin it to be our own fault though. If united end up with cases after tonight they'll be calling for then to sue us.
City can’t win on this. Request a postponement due to more fresh cases coming to light and we’ll get called out in plenty of quarters for “bottling” the match. Alternatively, we play the match, risk some of United’s players catching it from ours, and if that does indeed happen we’ll get pelters for that too.

We all know how this will play out - half our squad has it or has had it, the rest no doubt will get it over the next 2 weeks, but we’ll also be getting the others back again - so no doubt just as we’re all back is when they’ll postpone the season

They will suspend the season when LPoo or Rags get hit with a few cases.

There are quite rightly social issues upon which football quite rightly takes a collective stance.Racism, hooliganism, community initiatives, Garth crooks team of the week. However the lack of respect shown to players, players families, clubs and the public by those in charge of football will be seen as the biggest own goal in footballs history, particularly if god forbid we see pictures of a memorial outside the gates of any football club because one of its stars has died with Covid

Quite right.

CFA is irrelevant, the virus isn't residing on any surfaces, even though they deep-cleaned it ... virus needs human body alive to live in and is transmitted from human to human, not things or surfaces ... if that was the case, the whole country would be seeing 10 times more cases.
The virus can live on any surface some more longer than others depending on things like temperature , ventilation etc.

Some experiments undertaken show that on some surfaces it can live for up to a week.

People often scratch their nose or place something in their mouths like a fork etc when eating.

This is why door knobs and buttons in lifts can even have the virus residing on the surface and why in part this disease is easily transmittable.

it why when you cough you should cough into your elbow etc not your hands.
