He had his Instagram pulled yesterday at some point, the last post I saw on it was a screenshot of Lin Wood's twitter post about (IIRC) democratic paedo's.

As Lin Wood's account is also gone, I'd say it was a coordinated pull of idiot fake peddling lying accounts across the broad spectrum of social media.

Mine definitely came from all the Cambridge analytica stuff on Facebook in 2016. It's because I use to read stuff that wikileaks put out and then these groups got hold of them emails and spun them into something alot more sinister.

That said, it was still a truly historic and destructive event that should not be diminished or forgotten.

Especially as it could very well have been merely a dry run (if Trump is not removed with haste). Many of the Capitol police seemed to be collaborating with the insurrectionists and, at best, gave them far more deference than should have been the case. The entire fiasco was a massive security failure that foreign adversaries will have watched, licking their lips. They know the US is vulnerable—they’ve known it is for quite sometime (hence the unprecedented hack of government systems which is still ongoing).

And there are rumours of nearly all of the national security team now considering resignation and no one knows if it is due to the events of yesterday or because Trump is trying to take some other insane actions (possibly related to starting a war with Iran and/or inciting further insurrections).

Make no mistake, the US is not out of danger — the next few weeks (and even beyond that) are pivotal to maintaining some semblance of democracy to be built upon in the coming years.

I remember you saying something !ike this would happen a long time ago . The whole security of the building or lack there off is very suspect . Letting them get up on the balconies , getting onto the floor , saw them just wandering about the place and of course the ones opening the barracades for them

I listen to a law podcast (Opening Arguments) and one of the hosts has a lot of contacts at the Department of Justice and he's said the mood there among the prosecutors is that they want to prosecute every single person involved to the fullest extent that they can, and with a Biden DoJ there will be no one telling them not to.

I think these idiots are about to find that they have no friends. Donald Trump isn't going to come to their rescue, Republicans sure as hell aren't going to step in to stop them getting both barrels and Democrats want justice to stop this happening again.

Guarding it today makes a lot of sense, although there's a city state of emergency.

It seems to me to be more significant that on a day there was a huge mob up the road, a politically explosive occasion and a ranting loon, there were almost no guards - the National Guard were asked for, and weren't given - and they are instructed to act by the President and the President alone in normal circumstances.

Why were they not sent out by him when a specific request was made? He's repeatedly bleated about wanting to send the National Guard to other states if he was asked, but when DC asked, he didn't.
