It’s less than that mate
I think you might have your figures wrong there mate!
You’ve overestimated there, it is just over 0.1%.
Typo when calculating. In a slightly tipsy, fed up state I didn't notice. Sigh! Apologies

MoronsAnyone heard about the craze growing on tik tok to do a in car date night? Rock Paper Scissors between you and the other half to choose the drink, starter, main and dessert. I know of 3 people doing it today, driving to various food outlets and having to drive to 4 different locations. I give up.
He must right owt one hundrad tymes "I will compleat my maffs homewurk," and English tooIt’s less than that mate
It wouldn't appear to be for shopping because the local Morrisons was deserted last time I was in (not been today).Goodness knows where all these people are going in their cars.
It might be nearly twice, but 18% is pretty small, about the same as it was by early May when it had started to creep up again.I read that public transport is running at 18% of "normal" levels currently, the first lockdown it was less than 10%, so basically twice the level of public transport usage as the prior lockdown.

Even the smaller number is grim.Typo when calculating. In a slightly tipsy, fed up state I didn't notice. Sigh! Apologies
Yes thats true, but the new strain is more contagious, so we need to do better than before, not worse. It might be nearly twice, but 18% is pretty small, about the same as it was by early May when it had started to creep up again.
the other reality is that many of them will have been very elderly with significant underlying health problems who quite likely may not have survived this past year even without Covid.
This is what it is about, you’re absolutely correct but to people who care it’s tragic to see so many souls dying.still so much focus on the mortality rate.
The whole reason for lockdown is simply to not run out of space in hospitals and having enough beds - that’s what it’s always been about.
This is what it is about, you’re absolutely correct but to people who care it’s tragic to see so many souls dying.
Won't that be skewed somewhat by the fewer but much younger deaths where they lose up to 70 years of life each versus the older ones where it is much less each even if many more?On average, this isn't true, estimates are around 5-10 years life lost due to each covid death.
I know mate, that’s my point too, you and I that care see 0.1% of those that get it and old people that die as tragedies.Yes, I was aiming my point at those who say it’s only 0.1% and only the old people etc
