The fireflies might be ok but some of the other insects were big enough to carry you away! You've brought back very happy memories. We stayed nearby in Frikes on honeymoon. Will never forget walking through the olive groves from Kioni by moonlight, fireflies lighting up the trees.
Always dreamed of going Hawaii and seeing the huge waves and surfers. The landscape always looks like something from a fantasy movie. Just wish it wasn’t so bloody far away.Great thread! I’m taking notes for post-COVID times . . .
Hanalei Bay, Kauai, Hawaii — amazing beach, amazing water, framed by jungle mountains with a dozen waterfalls of hundreds of feet cascading down. Pretty spectacular.
Tough one , did both within 4 months of each other 2019 , Loved Lucca , friendly & beautifull, walking the walls round the city was great but then i’m a sucker for Italy , my favourite country .Can't choose between Fiscardo and Lucca

Yes, Whitsundays is up there for me too. Also forgot HawaiiFor me there is a few contenders.
Banff, Rocky mountains, Canada.
Fiordland, New Zealand.
Whitsunday islands in northern Queensland in particular Whitehaven Beach, the beach has a very high silica content making it like powder and shimmering white against the turquoise ocean, all surrounded by The Great barrier Reef.
Gorgeous

That’s just paradise.I'm not gonna lie, it was an absolute dream. If it was currently possible to replace our shite winter with this beach again I'd be there yesterday.

Yep that walk round the walls is one of life's great pleasures. Also the annual music festival in the square goes under the radar a bit when you look at the calibre of performers,Bob Dylan,Neil Young,Eagles,Van Morrison,Tom Jones etc.Tough one , did both within 4 months of each other 2019 , Loved Lucca , friendly & beautifull, walking the walls round the city was great but then i’m a sucker for Italy , my favourite country .
I guess compared to Idaho it wins hands down :-)Bootle
Cheers, you should try to get back there one day
I didn't think there were any private beaches in St. Lucia
St Lucia. I stayed in a resort with its own private breach nestled between the two pitons. Incredable
