Its what I was reading before Haaland joined Dortmund.

When some posters were recommending Haaland, the majority were saying : He is unproven and not worth the risk, or we don't deal with his greedy agent or he is not Pep type striker.

I don't agree with any of the above, but this is what many has said before Haaland became the most wanted striker in the World.

If anyone was undermining his quality 2 years ago, no one dare now.

You’re right, the damage of cake gate saw us win the league that season, I wouldn’t want to see that again lol

I don’t remember Kia Joorabchian causing too many problems, so what damage did he do?

Pogba’s problems are nothing to do with Raiola, quite simply, he isn’t good enough.

If you needed something for your business to make it successful, but had to buy it off somebody you didn’t like as nobody else had this item, would you buy it or cut your nose off to spite your face & buy something inferior?
 
Biggest surprise for me of today’s report was the news that Pep is a fan of Haaland. Now all my doubts that this has a good chance of happening are gone.

Raiola insisted on a buy out clause in his contract that looks peanuts now.

I’m pretty certain that the buy out would have agreed with Haaland jnr & snr, so Raiola was acting on his clients behalf.

On top of that, I’d suggest that Haaland’s career is being managed absolutely fantastically. He went to Dortmund as a stepping stone, had a low buy out inserted, so Haaland will now be able to choose his own next move if he stays at Dortmund until 2022 when his buy out becomes active as the £60mill team a a snip.

Id also think that only way he will have a buyout clause in his next contract will be if he goes to Spain as it’s the law there.

Riaola & Haaland snr have been extremely smart so far in helping with the progression on Haalands career so far
 
I think Utd have bigger issues with Raiola given the Pogba situation.
Pictures of EH in a City shirt as a kid,his dad played for us,a Rag ended his dad's career,his Dad has clearly stated he cant stand Utd players,would imagine he speaks English,Manchester warmer than Norway,Madrid covered in snow. When we win the league and Utd are playing on Thursdays again, there is only one place for him to come.

He doesn’t though. He gets the best for his client based on their decision. If they want to move, he gets them a move. If they’re happy where they are, then they stay where they are.

Agreed. There’s a reason why so many top players go with him.....he’s amazing at his job. He might be a money grabbing ****, but he’s obviously excellent at getting his clients what they want.

He supports Leeds but they can’t afford him but he also has an affinity to us and the plus is we can afford him quite easily tbh but we can’t afford to fuck about with this deal like we do sometimes and just pay what is required.
 
Most clubs if they had suffered the antics of Pogba would steer clear of any Raiola clients however the rags are daft and will throw the bank at Raiola, Haaland and Dortmund. Especially as it looks like they will cruise a CL spot or even worse and finish higher than 4th. Ole is going nowhere any time soon and this is all feeding into the rags media machine of Haaland being back under Ole, the new baby face assassin etc etc.

I would be floored if we get this deal done, I just don't see it.
