Ive always been a Holt’s man. Although I’m still completely confused about what they’ve done to the dark mild. They do have the best boozers, hands down.
Hyde’s is decent too.
Robbies, Willies - never got into ‘em.

Worked out of Boddies for a couple of years in the early 90’s. Truly great times with some amazing stories to tell. Popped into Chester’s a few times in that time too, although that wasn’t a functioning brewery at that time and was more than a little down at heel.

Have you come across their Manchester Star Ale? It's about 7.3% and used to be in Sainsburys but not seen it for a year or two now.

Used to love walking into the Church inn on Market Street in Hyde for a delicious pint of Boddingtons... so Doctor Boddlingtons magic prescription would be my choice.

Pictish brewery in Rochdale do a blue moon but I like the gold . Phoenix in heywood have the wobbly bob which is a classic.
