A negative, (football in general) article appearing on the BBC website, accompanied by a picture of Manchester City players. You could knock me down with a feather, I'm that surprised.

Dan Roan, utter ****.
The article itself is now illustrated with a photo of Soton players celebrating their goal against the Dippers, a game from 8 days ago.

A more relevant, up to date photo to go with the article, which was updated just 10 minutes ago as I type, would be the one of Manure players hugging on the tonight's live page - see page 706. I bet they daren't. In fact, that photo seems to have disappeared altogether from the Football page.

Tomorrows Mirror
“Even all the billions and billions of Burnleys new mega rich owners could not stop Ole’s young free scoring fledgling’s claiming their rightful place at the top of the premier league 3 points ahead of Everton’s diseased afterbirth. As for the Stockport Oilers, they are back to looking up the table enviously at their more successful and illustrious neighbours.
& How fitting a home grown academy graduate scored a quite brilliant goal to win a game United should have been out of site but for the Burnley players putting in an obscene amount of effort and dodgy ref”.

So true it’s not even funny.

Just read the article in the Athletic this morning.
City offering jobs to a Brazilian players father

Excuse my french but that Athletic article is a croc of shite.

10k payment made 9 years ago, and it’s like the end of the world is coming down. City completely deny the claim and the dad went to a couple of scouting training sessions anyway. even if they didn’t this sort of thing has been going on for years at every club so who really gives a fuck.

just invites loads of moronic fans to pile on in with the cheaters line and all that rubbish.

The athletic are turning in to a tabloid trashy clickbait rubbish, at the start I really enjoyed the articles.

Rashford now on Channel 5 News with the headline 'campaigner Marcus Rashford takes on the Government again (heavily stressed) over school meals'.
The actual report is somewhat different interviewing mums, mentioning that paediatricians and even Downing Street were unhappy with the packs being issued in lieu of the grocery voucher. Then there is a copy of a tweet purportedly written by him which gets the headlines and the professionals' and volunteers' ongoing work is sidelined. No mention of the obvious problems food banks have with the 'stay at home' message will have on them.
This lad might have good intentions but he is being played.
What was it this morning that caught my attention when skimming the headlines?
WAs it the tweets from disgruntled parents about the shit state of fsm or was it the news that Rashford had re-tweeted them?
wEll thanks to his involvement i now know what firm is skimming government money from government coffers (your taxes), the CEO and their very chequered history.
Claiming Rashford is 'being played' is ridiculous.

Had to laugh. New on BBC. For some reason it’s under Fulham page but on main sports headlines and of course has a photo of our team celebrating which then vanishes when u click on the story

Premier League boss reinforces 'critical importance' of Covid-19 rules in letter to clubs

Was the letter sent after this or before this ?

You should have heard some of the superlatives used to describe Pogba's deflected effort on SS.

Going off the description it would make Mark Kennedy's goal at Bolton in 00/01 look like a 3 yard tap in.............

I have no idea why they are getting giddy being top before the half way mark. Just been schooled by us on their patch. They must know, surely they must know what’s going to happen .....

Of course they know the fa/ premier league have told them they will win the league ;(

Fucking hell BBC, scum temporarily on top for what will only be a couple in a messed up season yet the first three articles all about them. Unbelievable. Why not this much sycophantic diatribe when Spurs or Everton were top for a couple of days?

Despite being odious twats, I actually want Liverpool to beat them in those next two games. I can’t stand Liverpool, but I’m actually offended by utd even existing.

Just saw a rerun of the goal after the usual warm introduction from our local Aussie newsreader ‘ Manchester United climbed to the top of the Premier League last night’ followed by the match commentator hoarsely shouting ‘What a fantastic goal from Paul Pogba, brilliant!!!!’ Followed by the slo mo replay clearly showing his hopeful shot straight down the middle, large deflection and the ball travelling straight through the keepers splayed legs and then silence, not a mention. Our newsreader sounded like a long lost friend had returned

Ridiculous isn't it?

About 3 minutes after the goal he pinged a 10 yard ball straight out of play (over head height and not within 5 yards of anyone) - not a word from the commentary team.......

On Breakfast, following a couple of days of correctly making a noise about celebrations they showed that rag scrum. They did manage to make a meek and mild comment about United players not quite getting the hang of the new guidelines. That right BBC go in hard.
One good thing. Roan was described as 'football reporter'. Dare l hope he has been demoted as Sports Editor to the ranks.
