I like Mowbray but he did prattle on about it being Klopp's 200th Premier League game today and the fact that only Mourinho had won more games as a manager in the 'first 200 games'.. which is true but..

- Klopp has won 127/200 games so far (64%)
- Mourinho has won 211/348 games so far (61%); sorry, don't have his first 200 games stat
- Guardiola has won 122/168 games so far (73%)

So, Pep is almost at the same level as Klopp but having played 32 games less. And his win percentage far outstrips the rest, including both 'The Special One' and 'The Amazingly Dentate One'.

I wonder if Guy will return to this one when Pep gets to game 200? I doubt it.

Yet another example of media Johnnies hyperventilating over made up, meaningless statistics.. which, when analysed and challenged, fade into thin air with their breathless commentary..
You mean things like " Scott McTominay is the first player in Premier League history to score 2 goal in 10 minutes in the first half, who's called Scott McTominay" ?

Didn't he try to shag a pregnant wife on Snapchat, when the lady was just asking for some well wishes for her husband? I think he begged for the lady to not leak it but she did. Who knows, maybe that affected him?

EDIT: That was in 2018. Who knows, maybe the thirst got to him?

Taken from the Liverpool thread. Anyone else remember seeing this in the mainstream media?

The red shirted media always have these stats tables which start out with the end product of Rags or Dippers at the top and then someone has to come up with numbers to get to this answer!

Mike McGrath, the clueless ex-Sun clown now trolling for the Telegraph, now insisting City are ready to spend big on a striker this summer.
Kane? Haaland? Dybala?
No, he insists we are going all out for the red reject, flat track bully and ‘second touch is a tackle’ ultimate antithesis of a Pep player, Romelu Lukaku
A reminder that he was responsible for this work of genius only a couple of weeks ago

To be fair- It is common knowledge City looked seriously at Lukaku last summer so wouldn't be a shock if we were to renew our interest in him.

I saw that bollocks on 1 of the facebook pages yesterday, thought it was either an early April fools or just bait to get the African 'experts' that comment on absolutely anything at it....

Wow, were we really? Of all the hgh profile strikers in world football he is one of the least suited to City. Never heard we were interested in him before.

Ah, he was partly right in that only 99.99% was going right. "Nother record yesterday, wasn't it - longest winning streak this season in the PL? They wank themselves almost to death drooling and rubbing the 0.01% like Aladdin and the magic lamp hoping it streaks on like a Covid virus R number to 0.02% up the shoot and they find another headline that might indicate that KdB is off to Haringay to team up with Moaninho again, and Pep is taking over at Rochdale.

Really? That's news to me. Lukakau is not a Pep play, nowhere near mobile enough and his work rate is poor. I've seen milk turn faster than him

It’s Blue Monday for the raggy media. After the fantastic achievement of being top 17 games in, they’re looking over their shoulders at a City team with a solid defence. If we beat Villa we go top after 18 games played.

Yep not even halfway through the season! With the amount of games coming up let’s see where we are with half dozen games left that when the push for the title begins.

City going 2nd in the PL made the Daily United, in-between 10 Liverpool and United articles, Jack Leach, and Nasser Hussain.

There's no way that picture of John Stones was from the match. The Daily United picked a stock photo of John Stones impersonating Phil Jones.

On a more serious note. This is what we're up against. City go 2nd in the PL by beating Palace 4-0, and this is the pathetic report from the Daily United. Why do the Rag cun*s bother reporting on City?

That's paranoia I think. Keep that photo and on Feb 7 the day after we play Liverpool and United play Everton (which is still a bigger game than us versus Palace) then check the situation then. United and Liverpool will always command more news but despite it being a boring draw between 2 currently over-inflated teams, it is still more newsworthy than a 'relative' routine home win versus Crystal Palace surely?

'the biggest rivalry in the PL' has always been wank. It only started getting overhyped back in the 90's because Liverpool were so shit the rags were pretty much guaranteed a win and it suited the GPC, his media sycophants and the plastic glory chasers. In truth rags vs dippers have invariably been wank games usually ending up with a dull as fuck 0-0 or one goal bore-fest.
I will tell you how big this United and Liverpool rivalry is (At risk of people being appalled by what I say). I asked a girl out in 1991. She was pretty fit (different league to me). I thought she would say no but she was a United fan so I told her I had 2 tickets for Utd v Liverpool that weekend (then I thought she would say yes). It worked and she said yes. I then went to Old Trafford on the Thursday to buy tickets for the match THAT WEEKEND. And got 2, easily.
That year United capacity was c47500. Two weeks earlier they had played Sunderland at home in front of 45,394 and then for the huge clash versus Liverpool they attracted 43,690. Not even a sellout, hence I could wander up and get tickets with 3 days notice. Biggest rivalry my arse
