Utds dodgy pen against West Brom had to be retaken too, after their keeper made the save having moved off his line too early.
 
Not too bothered about that lot or what way they got to today’s points tally. We have a better squad and better starting eleven no matter what 11 you pick. If we are not able to finish above them, even if they have the benefit of VAR and refs, we have ourselves to blame.

United have strength in depth compared to the majority of PL teams and, although they’ve been distinctly average, with the decisions they are getting it is hard to see how they won’t be in the mix. On the other hand we have to work for every goal and every point, nothing comes for free compared to how United are officiated.

We have fought against the odds for every single yard whereas United have been given games, in some instances, so would it still be ourselves to blame when the game is actually taken away from us? All hypothetical, of course.
 


don’t know why they are both surprised at the way United played yesterday. They play that way every big game the shit bags. Defend deep and hope individual quality win them the game.

I think you underestimate VAR and ref`s, 3 penalties vs Leicester? Liverpool winning 15 points through penalties last season, conceding no points, utd`s worst team ever winning the league thanks in part to the top 4 teams having 4 players sent off while playing them
 
Time for you lot to do some homework.
Question: How many times has Fernandez won player of the month since he joined the Raggies and second part how many times has DeBruyne won it since joining the world's greatest club?
If you are minded you could also list David Silvas awards.
I dont know about Raggy but I bet Kev and David's total added together is nil.
Says it all about the state of our game.

I'd forgotten that, shameful, really shameful. Mind you what do you expect when R. Kev pings a brilliant ball into the box for Stones to head home and Souness said it was easy, something about he just put it in the middle. If only we had Pogba, we would be walking the league by now.

Yes, I think this is the concern. I remember saying to one of my sons back in late 2011 that City were 10 points better than the rags, but they'd have to be to win the title. We'd seen that a ref couldn't influence the result of a match in which one side was clearly better than the other (say by six goals to one) but many PL matches are very close affairs and can be decided by refereeing decisions, and United have been able to exercise undue influence for many years, especially while Ferguson was there. It has continued to the present and we have seen this influence clearly at work this season. I suspect City will need to be more than ten points better this season but I think we are and I suspect that the "favours" done to United have become so obvious that we will see them reduced in number.
