That’s another excuse to go early!!5-6 am , you mad man!!!
i do definitely see your points.
unfortunately i have a screaming 7 month old through the night, so i'm knackered in mornings.

This all day long. 6 has been the earliest I've got out. Less traffic & pedestrians to negotiate and I feel it just sets you up for the day. I can be out, dog walked, do 5k - 5m, back home, showered and breakfast - all before 9am and ready for a days work.Morning runs get my vote, so many positives to a morning run,
1.Theres no should I? Shouldnt I? question in your head all day.
2.The rest of the day is yours to play with.
3.Theres none of the daywalkers getting in the way every 20 yards
4.Get up early enough and the world is yours as your alone on the streets
My strava stats last year said most of my runs were between 5am and 6am, by far the best time of the day imho add a sprinkle of rain and it dont get much better!!
Sprint intervals will help you below 50-min for 10k.If I can get out tonight I'll be up to 100km for the month. Managed 117km in December too after a long break from running (again).
Benefitting from doing a lot of easy pace long runs and some actual leg exercises to strengthen them. Managed a 5K PB last Friday night of 23.30. Considering it was after a long and painful day of work I was really pleased with that. A minute quicker than my previous PB.
Want to make a sub 50min 10k my next challenge as 52.12 is my best. But thinking with a 5K time that quick, it should be within reach and maybe I need to work on a better target.
I struggle to run without having a challenge... anyone able to throw some my way?!
Pfft no chance mate, unless your talking about the level of human being that my mrs often refers to me as!!sweet jesus. nope, your're a different level of a human being.
Cold shower or bath is good for the muscles mate... highly recommendedsweet jesus. nope, your're a different level of a human being.
Heaton this morning was bliss, absolutely lashing it down, like doing a steeplechase, lol. Very few people in the park as not many were stupid enough.Been out and done a 5k in the rain. Loved it. Realised that running slowly is making the knee sore whilst speeding up today had no issues at all!!
Cold shower or bath is good for the muscles mate... highly recommended
Frankly, I don't think it matters that much as long as you're stretching them. Just find some on YouTube / Google and pick your favourites.Yeah, I’ve come across this before, but tbh just a bit old school and lazy, lol. I don’t exactly run at pace so never taken it too seriously. I bought some of those spiky balls, lol, off Amazon as had them recommended so I do try that in the house too from time to time. Out of interest, what kind of dynamic stretch would you recommend for hammies?
5. They improve your sleep as morning activities release cortisol, waking you up for the day. This then tells your body to be awake for x hours before releasing melatonin, getting it ready for sleep.Morning runs get my vote, so many positives to a morning run,

Meh, always with the technical stuff stu!! You'll be telling us all to drink beetroot shots next5. They improve your sleep as morning activities release cortisol, waking you up for the day. This then tells your body to be awake for x hours before releasing melatonin, getting it ready for sleep.
I would say thats more abour pre run stretches...before you leave the house.the base of the spine can only benefit from rotation front, back, sideways and a circular motion, both ways.....to loosen it upBeen getting out a bit since new year, partly due to no football and partly for something to do whilst keeping slightly fit.
Been building up from 2k to 5k last weekend feel fine apart from the base of my back which is sometimes unbearably painful whilst mid run had to stop a couple of times (only for 10 seconds or so) to let the pain piss off then I can get going again, anyone any recommendations for a lower back support?
Rain is the best weather for a run imoIt’s raining.
...
I’m going back to bed.
I often get pain around the same area and have found stretching my hip flexors/glutes have eased this dramatically.I would say thats more abour pre run stretches...before you leave the house.the base of the spine can only benefit from rotation front, back, sideways and a circular motion, both ways.....to loosen it up
Nothing fancy or technical... but im pretty sure your mid -run pain would ease/disappear
