As someone 5,000 miles away and looking forward to the game. How bad is it there right now? Anyone genuinely think it may be called off?

It’s an unknown quantity will Villa not playing for a few days. Will they be running like the clappers with the rest or will the disruption knock them off their game? Hopefully the latter, more than enough talent on the pitch we hammered them 3 times last season.

It’s absolutely leathering it down still, and don’t think it’s going to ease up before the game. Think it should still go ahead but not sure what state the pitch will be in.
 
Only comparison with this rain I can remember recently is Boxing Day 2015. Caused big problems around Manchester and Lancashire with flooding but we still played Sunderland at home and the pitch was ok.

It's only bad if the rain continues, like it looks like it will, throughout the game

I’ve just got in from a walk and it’s just persistent rain. It’s not heavy and I was particularly soaked to the skin or owt when I got home, only my top layer was wet.

It’ll be one of them where the pitch gets heavy and cuts up though, so we need a couple of early goals.
