Royal Mail delay

Has anyone experienced a delay of receiving letters from royal mail due to covid?

I sent a letter to someone via 1st class and they haven't received it yet. You reckon this is normal?

yeah delays all over the show with Royal mail. last week I heard one town was down something like 80% of there posties due to an outbreak

Sent a card on Tuesday , arrived today so I guess it depends on staffing where posted and delivery area

You have to bear in mind that it takes awhile for the postie to take it home, steam it open, find there is no money in it, let it dry, reseal it, take it back out and post it in the neighbours letter box. You can't rush these things you know.

Our fucking postie turned up at 9pm last night and because we have a low level letterbox (to keep him fit) he knocks at the door and hands over all the shit adverts like domino's and local double glazing. Going to wire the door up to the mains tonight to teach him a lesson

I just got a german delivery received by royal mail and it was only 3 days from inception. Went to london and then bounced up north. Mein gotte!

a few days ago i sent a packet special delivery guaranteed by 1pm next day and it took 2 days to get there, the tracker said it was sat in Preston SO for a day, they didnt want to know about a refund claim as its warning delays are possible

The posties round here are brilliant, if we aren't in and it's a box they'll bring to work...they used to bring my mums post to us when she was alive as she had dementia and got confused and when we first moved in they didn't bother with the address, as always they went by name and what family member you were and who lived in the house before you. God know how they do it as 80% of the population are called Roberts.

Its either a big windowsill or a dwarf postie. The fucker knocked again tonight at 9.15 with a letter from the local Jehovah tossers. Because they can't come round they're mailing people.
