I thought the Chorley and Wolves match must be on the BBC given the amount of coverage it's had all day on national and local news.
Not much on the red shirt tie. I know there are two days to go yet but weekend news tends to be quite short with less room to fit too much pre trial arse licking.
Perhaps they have not yet guessed who the FA and PiGMOL want to win so are sitting on fence.
Its remarkably quiet compared with all that hype for a week before the league match.
Nothing on City - a match they ARE covering.

I’ve long thought Paul Merson is now a paid up member of Liverpool’s PR department. You know, paid up on the QT. As in the QT, the Liverpool way.

He’s gone from not being arsed about Liverpool ever, to supporting them and defending them as much as he can. It’s a complete 360 turnaround for no reason whatsoever, apart from.....

We all know how certain clubs approach media and internet influencers, ex-footballers, who‘ve managed to stay relevant, and have kept their TV jobs(cough!), as well as writing in the papers, etc.
Not done Thompson any good

Cheaper to pay him in coke than cash as well.
Nah, sneaky $ky pay him in cash then waft a few $kybet adverts under his beak and simply get him to give all his "earnings" back by betting on City to lose every week. Sneaky fvckers :D

FSG and Liverpool were looking for a better looking and more youthful imagine. Someone who would appeal to their worldwide support. Sadly Phil didn’t fit that image, but Paul did. Being called Paul also helped.

During the Chorley game, BT flashed up all the FA games they were covering. I thought, bloody typical, mention every game except ours. Of course we're on BBC; it's my age!

To be fair, if Neil Ashton passed me a think brown envelope, I could probably force myself to say and write nice things about United.
He seems to be making a difference over there doesn’t he? The ‘invisible hand’ and all that.

What a fucking disgrace the BBC are. Football Focus did a piece on the match and even interviewed someone saying how hard the club have been, how the tv fee will help but it’s a real shame they can’t have people in. Not a single fucking mention of the virtual tickets.

Arseholes.

I saw it too and agree 100%
Having said that, this is the BBC we are talking about here so are you really that surprised?
