Won in the end . Foden was fantastic but it took gundo and cancelo to come on and turn it round but there was some cowardly performances out there tonight especially from Mahrez who when it was 3-1 started to do the tricks and enjoy the game well he should be ashamed of that performance and also Jesus needs to get his act together . because at the moment he is not on our level either . One thing it proved tonight aswell is that everyone clamouring to see him he likes of Doyle and Haywood bellis in the team need to face facts that they are nowhere near the he first team yet . Phil foden will become our greatest ever player I’m sure of it .

Mahrez can leave tomorrow if he takes Mendy with him. They were both below the acceptable level we need. Mahrez looks like he doesn’t give a shit. Mendy is just shocking.
Foden is an absolute joy to watch. We could have the greatest midfielder from England ina long time. His balance, vision and desire is something a lot of his fellow team mates could take guidance from.
Laporte looked comfortable and that will have done him good.
Gabby MUST start putting away these golden chances.
Huge respect to CTFC, I hope they push on in their quest for promotion.

Cornish - huge respect to all on here who have supported us and helped us through our season. Can't think of any other club who would have helped us out in such a way. Glad we gave you a game and glad the money will help us see the season out. All the very best
 
Foden was magnificent and had he not been playing I think we may well have lost.

Cancelo and Gundogan subs changed it. Both excellent.


The rest....average at best and that’s being kind to some.

Good cup tie though and well played Cheltenham.

Yep it wasnt that long ago the the pundits saying Phil needs to go out on load and get kicked from pillar to post, instead of learning of the world class players like Merlin. Now they are saying how well Pep has dealt with Phil's development. Two faced bastards !

Ha ha,fair enough.
I thought the 1st half was piss poor overall as a spectacle.

The 2nd half improved the excitement somewhat,due to Cheltenham scoring.

Can do without the headaches in future matches though please City.

Gab was pretty poor for 9/10ths of that match yet managed to score the winner.

Your boys were fantastic tonight. With 10 minutes left I'd all but given up. It looked like we'd run out of ideas and we could have played another hour and not scored. At that point we honestly couldn't have had any complaints you deserved it

The genius of pep changed it. two subs Cancelo and Gundogan .. when everybody was screaming for Bernardo and Sterling, won the game

We were fast asleep until Chelt scored. Slow and laboured would be too kind. Foden and Fern tried their best but we needed those subs to really wake up. Quite clear that Mahrez doesn't usually pass because he can't, as he ably demonstrated today.
Would Jesus' goal have survived VAR?
I envisaged a horrible gloating press until we took the lead. Typical City!
Well played Cheltenham, great effort.
Away to Swansea, we can't afford the rubbish we served up for an hour or so.
 
Wasn't pretty but sometimes these ties aren't. Have to credit cheltenham for their display, they played to their strengths and offered a danger but we got the job done in the end to our credit, could have folded and went out with a whimper but we rallied and got the job done. Not a whole load of positives to take but take the win move on and it's a step closer to another final.
