Alert bomber command!Lets bomb Germany.
What do you think the UK needs to do differently to ‘co-operate’?
An attitude which will get us nowhere. Even, perhaps especially, if it's true.
Which all begs the question, if we aren't fighting Germany, then why do we need to criticise them? How do their actions impact on us?You keep talking about "us" fighting, when the UK has done nothing and will do nothing. We are going to get our vaccine before them because we ordered first, we funded the development and we approved it first. All of those were huge risks, and there is a payoff. It's an agreement between the UK and a private company.
Germany has acted in bad faith from the beginning, or have you already forgotten their side deal with Pfizer that directly contradicted the EU joint agreement for procurement that prohibited such side deals?
In an ideal world I hope everyone gets along over the vaccine, but unfortunately one country is acting in bad faith and no one is going to let British people die by giving vaccines already bought by this country go to the EU to appease Germany.
Well we have our own vaccine and produce it here don’t we?I don't claim to know what's going on here.
The only thing I do know is that leak to the German press is reprehensible, and we need to agree with the EU a way forward acceptable to everyone.
Otherwise we're all screwed.

Well they have absolutely no right to think that they should bully their way to the front of the queue after spending months at the back of the room holding on to their wallet.I would hazard a guess that the EU also feel they've been promised it. But like I said, I don't know the ins and outs of it all.

The UK/US have funded development and they have paid for their vaccines up front. The EU haven’t. It does seem quite straightforward.
love that pic mate, watched 4 episodes last night on netflix and im going at it again later tonight
Indeed. It is straightforward, and you can bet every penny you have that if the Merck/Pasteur or Sanofi vaccine was the first to production and approval, no one in France would be feeling sorry for the UK for being at the back of the queue after not investing in it.
Well we have our own vaccine and produce it here don’t we?
Not sure they’re prohibited. Bilateral deals certainly violate the spirit of the alliance purchasing agreement, but countries are still free to order more from suppliers. I think it’s on the condition that the Alliance is supplied first. Doesn’t make much difference when there aren’t any to go around, mind. You keep talking about "us" fighting, when the UK has done nothing and will do nothing.
