When Bernardo plays like this my life feels complete. I have a spring in my step. I can satisfy my woman and don’t get stressed at work. Bernardo, you complete me.
agreed.....looks like he is back to the player we all know he can be...its been coming back now for a few weeks.

Im convinced that racist shit storm last season did for him

Great win, easier than I expected.
We played really well up until subs spoiled the rhythm. After that is was controlling it in 3rd gear.

We play some great football these days. Even though WBA was by far the worst side I’ve seen. How we dropped 2 points at home beats me.
We had 8 more shots in the home game than we did tonight and drew. Unreal

Superb, best I've seen them play in ages. Quick accurate passing and good finishing, and that was without KDB or a striker.
My only gripe is with Sterling. He looks terrified to shoot, and tries to run the ball into the net all the time, he takes way too many touches. He frustrates me more than any other player ever. He can score a hatrick and still be frustrating!

Thought Zinchy looked a bit lightweight for a few mins when he moved to CM. Knocked off the ball like a kid and got a few hospital passes that didn’t help him.

But he settled into staying away from those kinds of battle and yes, kept it ticking.

Gundogan was just immense, as was Cancelo.

Diaz and Stones bossed it when called upon.

I don`t like a couple of players who I don`t "hate" but by the same token at times I will give them the benefit of the doubt, but by fuck some of you really need to reign in your hatred of certain players before a ball has even been kicked before a game.
We all know that Sterling is going through a rough patch, but the lad has proven how good he really can be from previous years.
Gundo has been magnificent over this past season and even the most ardent of fans who do not like him must hold their hands up and say "fair plays".The bloke does looks so much more accomplished as an attacking midfielder.
I accept that I`m no Zinco fan and doesn`t offer us a lot when playing as a full back but at times he looked far better as an attacking midfielder. However for me he`s still not a full back and never will be.
Lets be grateful that Pep understands the game far better than all of us.
Thank fuck !!!

So they changed the rules because of a goal we scored! What happens if we start to run away with it?

Absolutely superb, especially the first half! The most enjoyable game for ages that.

Gundogan was utterly outstanding, shame he got subbed but good he got a rest.
Cancelo brilliant too, he looks better every week pretty much.
Stones and Dias solid as ever.
I thought Mahrez did well too, good performance.

It was nice to have a fair and competent ref as well.

Damn good show all round. More of this please.

Thats the best 45 minutes 9f football I've seen for 18 months absalute Rolls Royce performance

I've been telling you Gundagun haters for 3 years hes as good as anyone on the ball when fit & playing regularly

No coincidence Berny, Cancelo, Phil & even Rodri are on it right now

I've been Rodri's biggest critic & still do pick pieces from his displays but now I can see why he is in a City shirt, maybe he was never fit enough or just need that extra yard so fair play to him
This team now can go further with these displays & the back 5 now luck unbreakable what a defence
How good is Cancelo those red boots are fucki g everywhere over the pitch hd is fucking magic

My last comment has to go to Gabby sulking, you can see it a fucking mile hes not happy

New striker in the Summer & maybe Alaba & its game on gor a few years.

Come on!!!
Spot on, thought the same about Gabby. Feels like he will never do it with us unfortunately. Slowly fading away. Wish to be proven wrong and we can see more Bernabeu performances. Maybe he’s struggling after covid, should give him some more time.

Reverse psychology working for me, I predicted a home win for them tonight. On the day King Colin was laid to rest , it was a fitting tribute, watched the tribute film again and shed some more tears. Really glad that Gundog is repaying Pep for the faith he showed in him. He is hitting the form of his life, well done sir, but expect a drug enquiry tomorrow. Goodnight Colin RIP

Sterling’s only problem is, he overthinks everything in front of goal, if he just let his instincts take over, he would be fine, he gets dogs abuse but he’s still a quality player and we need to stick with him, just like most of us did with Gundog..!

good win and clean sheet to boot

when city get in that mood you have no chance no matter who you are ? WBA should not take much pain out of that defeat its city and you don't play teams like us every week.

pick the bones out of that media scum ? no strikers no walker no KDB no problem

Manchester City goalscorer Ilkay Gundogan: "I feel proud to wear [Colin Bell's] number and I try to represent it as good as possible, to give him the tribute.

"There's not really a secret [to Gundogan scoring]. I'm just in the right spaces at the right moment. I'm in a bit more of an offensive role, if I get the chance close to the box I try to make the right decisions - I just tried to do my best.

"[Joao Cancelo] has ability to offer something a little bit of a different in the role. He gets a lot of touches and he has a quality. I knew this, that's why I made the run and the ball was perfect. He's doing well, especially the last few weeks. We need this rhythm to maintain this level and we're going to get even more moments

"We will try our best, we had a few plays in the last couple of weeks in a few different conditions, struggling with injuries, all the players are getting more and more ready. obviously Kevin [De Bruyne] is a big miss for us but we have players who will get more game time and we need everyone because everyone gives us a different quality we need to keep going."

Cancelo, Gundogan and Stones the biggest revelations of this season. I never doubted Gundo but he had a longer period of mediocre play. Now he’s up there with the very best. Amazing work.
