Sheffield United (H) | Post-Match Thread

Surprised teams that like to park the bus dont get called out by the premier league etc. As this style of football cant only damage the premier league selling point. Who wants to watch that ?!
appreciate the difference in players ability , we have spent millions but surely a manager has to improve his players no matter what level they are at , play a system that atleast enables them to get past the half way line , would rather witness a team playing more expansively and losing 2-4 than just accepting a 0-1 defeat before they even kick a ball. Managers like Wilder and Allardyce are dinosaurs.

Very good game, I predicted we wouldn't push for the second unless clear opportunity was presented to us. The only off was individual quality was lacking when needed with these kind of defences, as Ferran proved in the first half. I was a bit surprised Rodri didn't come earlier, but there are a plenty of games ahead. I am still convinced that was a clear penalty on Ferran and it was not given, because the ref was managing the game and not refereeing it. I am frustrated we are not scoring from clear cut chances like Jesus one, but Pep really changed approach and we almost do not allow counter attacks at all. Gundo still essential and I hope Pep manages his output, the last thing we need is him being crocked. And Zinchenko's continues presence in the first eleven is good omen for winning the title back.

I think the push on Torres was definitely one.

I would have hated to see the handball given against us if had it been in our box instead.
I wouldn’t have liked it against us either, but if your arm is in the position it was & it stops a cross, whilst I wouldn’t have liked it, don’t think I would’ve complained about it

Where’s Aguero got to? It must be the longest Covid isolation in history!
We are desperate for a world class striker, and we should spend big to get one in the Summer.

Not a great game , but a great 3 points .
Glad to see Jesus score. Hopefully will get a few more,
Sheff utd didnt look like scoring all game apart from that shot near the end. Our defence was brilliant again.
Burnley next

Thought the handball one was absolutely nailed on. The Torres one was unlikely to be overruled by VAR after the Asian sponsored ref didn’t give it.
It's crazy that any slight, incidental contact with a striker's lower half is a nailed-on penalty, but you can clearly and deliberately push a player in the back and it's "not enough".

A few players got a run out clean sheet & Jesus scored (hope it spurs him on)

big 3 points.
