You don’t rest the kingpin, I don’t think pep would do that, could be wrong!
Realistically, everyone bar Ederson needs resting at some point. And after resting Stones last match, he might have decided to give both of our main centre backs a rest one after the other as opposed to both in the same game. Calculated risks that all top clubs have to take to win in the long run.

I could be miles off but I can see Dias and Foden being rested, then in the two games prior to Liverpool, we’ll have given a break to Dias, Stones, Cancelo, Rodri, Foden, Sterling and Mahrez. Whilst hopefully still getting maximum points. That would set us up perfectly for the rest of this month.

We don't know which players have the most muscle, joint, or tiredness issues at any particular time, but I agree that they will all be rotated dependent on those factors.

It's great being in a position where if we rest players we get a good response from those coming in(well 99%)
The feeling they must have as a squad now must be great and for the coaching staff a dream.
3 more point please keep the run coming and pressure on the chasers will really kick in .
Overall since November 10/10for attitude and as for the way Pep handles this is fantastic.

Hehe was expecting you to comment, unlike Delap playing you're going to have to accept this one is going to run & run.

It's probably gone past calling him & become a nickname for him now.
Still doesn’t make it funny though, or if it does please explain how? Interesting that we are playing Burnley tonight, cos telling the same unfunny “joke” is a trait of inbreds

Half this thread is about the Liverpool game. Let's not take this one for granted. Burnley are not going to be pushovers and we need to be laser focused.

To be expected when we've only lost to Burnley once since 1975.

Since Pep arrived here our record is P12 W11 D1 L0 F40 A5

No game is ever won before the final whistle, but Burnley are shit, and Pep's always exposed them for what they are. The one time we dropped points we were 16 points clear at the top of the table and got a bit complacent at the end of the match.

Didn’t Raz miss one of the biggest all time sitters in that drawn game?

Pep’s best XI for Burnley and the exact same team again (fingers crossed for no injuries) on Sunday. At the very least, give the same defence both games, whether that be Dias / Stones or Dias / Laporte.

I don’t get all this talk of resting players tomorrow night.

This is probably the biggest week of our season so far, it’s not the time to bench players who are bang in form.

We can chop and change for the Swansea game and give our key players a week off until we play spurs.

Ederson, Cancelo, Stones, Dias, Zinchenko, Gundogan, Foden, Bernardo have to start the next two in my opinion.

The other 3 is anyone’s guess as I don’t think any of our forward line are particularly in form.

I can see Fern starting against Burnley and Rodri against the murderers.

All good points but Fern v dips is a must.
