Hopefully he can play a super-sub role for the rest of the season.
If he’s well enough to be back in training, there’s no reason why not.If he was fit enough, does protocol allow him to be on bench at Anfield?
Real Madrid won't make the CL final, but I get it point :)Fantastic news he is back and I hope he comes back fully fit, not carrying any niggly injuries and is ready to play his normal game. He hasn't looked quite himself I'd say, I can't put my finger on it but I hope he can get back to his absolute best.
If we are 1-0 down to Real Madrid in the CL final, I know who I back to score the equaliser and winner!
Wednesday??He won't start on Wednesday. No chance 2 days training is enough to get over 2 weeks without training let alone having covid.
That would be ace but I think off the bench for 15-20 mins at Swansea is probably a more realistic target.I don’t see him being involved versus Burnley but would be fantastic to be 3-0 up at Anfield and bring Sergio on as a “look who’s back” opportunity.
If he can get any minutes v Liverpool and start versus Swansea he’s coming back just at the right time
He says he is fully recovered from Covid. If he was fit enough, does protocol allow him to be on bench at Anfield?
I don’t see how it can be weeks away? He was ready to start v Cheltenham but had to isolate. I get that he’s not been able to train the way he’d like to but he can’t be much worse off than he was 10 days ago??Pep saying weeks away. Doubt it’ll be that long but dippers seems unlikely
Yeah Pep said Sergio only doing fitness work and not yet with the main group, “a few weeks” before he's ready
I think Pep is overstating it tbh, bench at Spurs would be my guessAlways another few weeks. i would be surprised to see him play more than 5 games for us this season.
It just depends how much covid took out of him, it seems to vary a lot from person to person.I think Pep is overstating it tbh, bench at Spurs would be my guess
