100% yes, still the best by a country mile
It will come down to whether Pep and the board think its better to blood in a young DM to rotate with Rodri than keep Dinho rotating with Rodri.Deserves another year. He’s still the best in his position.

I'm honestly not sure as I see merits to both, having all 3 would be too much and too little game time.
I'm leaning closer to Dinho earning that extra year, and us thinking about a Rodri backup for another year still, but depends on how options open up for us in the market.

I know the love for Dihno is great, but father time is undefeated. He is not as nimble as he once was. And that would only deteriorate. But we shouldn't wait till he is a liability before we make the change.
Make him a coach if he is ready to make the switch, if he still want to play a few more years, let him drop down a level with less pressure.
Bissouma, Luiz e.t.c are coming of age. Pick one and get the bedding going...
I know it's not popular. But it's the right decision.
Whoever we decide. Young energetic, enterprising.we need to be aiming higher than those 2.
Agreed. One of our best ever signings, right up there with Dave, Serg, Vinnie and Zaba in the legends category (and Yaya, other than the baggage). A fantastic player and a thoroughly nice bloke. Or as gary ratboy would say, a tactical foulerWhat is this guy made of? His legs looked gone last season, even at CB.
This season he looks a different player, amazing stamina and footballing knowledge, a person who must be kept at the club long term, has all the skills to be management/coaching material and clearly gets us as a club.
Agreed. Notice how he is playing a maximum of 1 game a week now, plus the odd 20-minute spell as sub. Obviously it’s about finding the right balance between rest and play because he looks a lot fresher now than he did last season. The game yesterday just shows how he can influence a game. Perhaps not for the full ninety, week in week out, but his presence in a game brings out of the others why they are in the team!
You are clearly in the minority here.No he shouldn't

Can anyone honestly say they’ve thought “oh he’s on his way out or his legs are going” His levels haven’t dropped at all. It’d be crazy not to extend his contract. In fact he should be playing a lot more at the moment. I think Rodri is class bit of have fern over him all day long.I can't understand those saying his legs have gone, they haven't, he simply conserves energy and still has pace when needed.
I think he's doing well, must be the invisible glass crutches that help his mobility around the pitch.
