It's not shortbread tin kilts and bagpipes with me. I really mean it. If it wasn't my country I would say the same. Haste Ye Back mate.Went to the Western Highlands and Skye for a week in September. First time I’d ever been. Got lucky with the weather. Most beautiful place I’ve ever been
First chance I get mate. We didn’t get over to Lewis last time and we didn’t get up to the Torridon mountains either, so that’s 3 or 4 days worth straightaway. It's not shortbread tin kilts and bagpipes with me. I really mean it. If it wasn't my country I would say the same. Haste Ye Back mate.

Served 18 months in Kyle of Lochalsh back in the 70s. Lovely place, and lovely people. Hated the friggin midges though :)Went to the Western Highlands and Skye for a week in September. First time I’d ever been. Got lucky with the weather. Most beautiful place I’ve ever been
That looks stunning mateSmokey Mountains, Tennessee. Gatlinburg to be precise but the views driving down were breathtaking, took me about an hour and a half to drive 4 miles as we seemed to stop at every corner to get out.
All the nature in a small patch was quite moving.

Genuinely beautiful mateThat looks stunning mate
The first thing that came to mind was Dianne Valley.A couple of fannies I've been in have been really excellent, lovely in fact.
The Falkland Islands.
Wonderful place, my wife and I met some Canadian snowbirds at The Biltmore Estate near Asheville NC in 2004 and they recommended we drove through the Smokies en route to Pigeon Forge. We went back in 2009 to drive the whole Blue Ridge Parkway, it was absolutely wonderful.Smokey Mountains, Tennessee. Yeah I understand that mate. We are all getting older eh. I'm 38 and I feel so much sorer after playing football now. Have pains in my lower back too.
Full of seal killersBeen to many beautiful places, but Brits don’t realize just beautiful the British countryside is.
I have a particular fondness for the Peak & Lake Districts.
That said, sunrise over Northern Canada was pretty nice this past Sunday morning, even if a little cold and inhospitable! View attachment 34195
