Liverpool (A) Post Match Thread

Oh dear.

It's irrelevant unless you can quote the bit of the law that overrides this bit: "The defending goalkeeper must remain on the goal line, facing the kicker, between the goalposts, without touching the goalposts, crossbar or goal net, until the ball has been kicked."
Haha, you have to scroll down a bit when reading the law ;)

IFAB Laws of the Game 2020-21
Law 14: The Penalty Kick:

... "if the ball misses the goal or rebounds from the crossbar or goalpost(s), the kick is only retaken if the goalkeeper’s offence clearly impacted on the kicker." ...

Have to say, fair dues to Oliver, straight out with a card even 2 minutes in with none of the 'too early' bullshit and it looked like he warned them he wasn't tolerating it.
I suspect that was part of Thiago's calculation; he didn't think he'd get a caution.

Totally agree
It’s time we let Ederson have a go.
Brazilian goalie Ceni amassed over 130 career goals for his club. He was a set piece specialist. Most were pens but I think a substantial number were free kicks too.
Please let Ederson have a go Pep.
It would cement his legendary status no doubt...
We can change keeper and put Walker (or a.n.other) in goal (just in case Eddie misses and the ball stays in play), then change back.

It’s just come to me that, for the rest of his life, St Jordan will have to live with the fact that he was the Littlewoods captain, when City finally ended their Klanfield hoodoo.

You mean this bit off the FA website.???

Alissons movement in no way impacted the shot/penalty taker (Gundogan)...

Cheers

Jurgen Klopp on
@LFC
's title chances: "I really think you should prepare your job better to be honest. How can you ask that? #ManCity are 13 points away, in my understanding, and questions about becoming champions - do you really think that's appropriate at the moment.

Jurgen Klopp: "We have only two questions and you waste one for that. Your fault, you had only two questions

Isn''t the main point that Dias should have known that Salah is a cheat and would exaggerate any contact? Dias to my mind clearly reached out and put his hand on Salah's arm but Salah's reaction was a joke that deserved a yellow card. But you don't grab at Salah in the penalty area. More to the point, there was no need for Dias to rescue the situation because that was already in hand, and if I discover from the game replay that the covering player was John Stones then that will make me feel uneasy because the two of them ought to understand each other better by now.
You are messing with that last bit, arent you ? Lol

The bitter one.

It is the view from that goal :)

you dont see the Alisson cock ups as well from the normal high up camera, but you do on this. For our 3rd goal - what the actual fuck is Alisson doing??

He kicks it like that kid at school nobody wanted to pick and then you'd expect an instantaneous reaction of him getting into position for the save but he actually remains stood upright with his hand up for god knows what for half a second, it's totally bizarre
