nope, yours is rubbish. There's a choice with multiple vaccines available and people should get their preference if they have one. It's their body and their future.
No. There’s no choice as there are only certain amount of supplies of each (some more limited than others) and in some areas there will be only one. You get what’s offered or you don’t have one. That’s the deal and that’s how it should be.
This isn’t a sweet shop, picking candy off the shelf.

If you want a choice perhaps you should research the centres offering it as it depends on what storage is in place at some of them although lots are just doing them depending on supply.

there is no discernible difference between any of them.

agree with this, except for the Vaccine where Bill Gates can track my every move. I’m going to refuse that one.

The AZ vaccine is recommended for.people who have Allergies or other health reasons, so I was told by the doctor at the vaccination centre.
I don't have any allergies but still had the AZ one .Not sure about other health reasons but I do know it wasn't because I am classed as a type 2 diabetic as I know someone with the same condition who had the Pfizer one.

I

I would agree but there is no guarantee on which one you can have. I think someone on here has posted that they had one vaccine whereas the other half has had the other and I personally know of another couple that has happened to.
It would be tempting to say that you can only make say three appointments and if don't go through with it then you go to the back of the queue. However as attending is voluntary I don't believe it would be practical.
On my appointment Text it said i would be having the Oxford jab, but when i got there i was given the Pfizer one, it was a early morning appointment so maybe they use the Pfizer stock up first because of storage problems

If you think I'm having one now then another in 12 weeks then another in the Autumn no way,I will be having the one off Johnson & Johnson when it's available.

As pointed out, you won't be getting a choice of vaccine ever. The choice is get what you're given or don't get vaccinated.

I'm getting my first shot later this morning and I'm happy to have either of the current available vaccines. If that involves a second shot in 12 weeks and a booster later in the year then so what?

Hankock has just been on BBC breakfast news. Vaccine take up over 90% in 75s across the population including care home residents. I think he said 97% of 75 to 80 year olds had taken the vaccine.

There is a problem with take up in the social care workforce at two thirds vaccinated. Four fifths of NHS staff had taken up the offer of a vaccine.

More effort is going into convincing social care workers to take the vaccine. The numbers of Filipino nurses / carers might be a factor contributing to lower take up because an earlier survey said they were the least likely group to take the vaccine:

Pretty piss poor response from BAME (although the survey just shows hesitancy). Hopefully, these rates of vaccination can be driven up and any obstacles overcome.
