I tell you what though, I've never seen Ronaldo play in such a lazy, big headed manner as Messi has tonight.

I've never seen Messi destroy English, Spanish, AND Italian football. He's done it in Spain but never anywhere else. Ronaldo has destroyed every league he has ever played in.

I've never seen Messi inspire his national team to be greater than the sum of their parts. I've seen Ronaldo do exactly that.

He didn't play badly tonight, had no support, very little ball in dangerous positions, few options when he actually had the ball, and was playing for a team that were steamrolled, absolutely outclassed as a team. Barca are wank, put KDB in a wank team playing better opposition, and his impact would be minimal because the other players wouldn't be on his level.

Imagine Messi in the Gundogan role arriving late into the box, playing in the Jesus role where he'd get 5 chances a game, or cutting in ala Foden and Bernardo.

He would tear defences apart in our team and he wouldn't have to beat 5 men and score to do so.

His intelligence in the box and the amount of balls we cut back into there, he'd be on 30 league goals by now.
