Mendy at least looks like some of his crosses might connect. You know how Navas used to get pelters because most of his crosses hit the ankles of the nearest defender? Replace 'crosses' with 'shots' and you've got Mahrez this season. Where the ability he showed last year has gone is beyond me.

Noticeable that the minute he went off against Liverpool we improved and went on to score the three goals to win the game, two of which came from that side

Mahrez does what Pep tells him to do..inverted wingers,stays out wide..Jeez, Gundogan was crap according to many as was Stones and Cancelo. If Gundog and KdB out, watch Pep play him down the middle and be a revelation. We are top of the league playing great footy and people still moan. He has a role in the TEAM.

Someone actually slagged him off in the matchday thread because he scored on the hour mark which presumably means it counts less or something? Never mind that it was a great finish and was the winning goal.

Typical Mahrez. His game gets worse and worse for an 60-70 minutes until he scores, and all the Mahrez fans pretend like he's god's gift and not been poor for most of the match. Then he plays well for 10-15 minutes and then when the game is won he turns into selfish Mahrez mode and just shoots on sight.

Every now and then he gets us over the line though. No point getting worked up about it, he's nowhere near the starting XI for important matches and will probably be gone in 6 months.
