can work that way, seems in this case from the report that Liverpool have received the full amount but from the third party instead of Barca and will have to pay over the money from Barca when it arrives, plus a cherry on top one would expect so it has value to the third party. Curious doing it that way because it leaves Liverpool as the party responsible to the third party, not Barca directly, so I wonder what the terms would be if Barca can't pay up.
