Klopp is obviously very religious and he knows God would not side with his club for all the cheating, corruption, bus attacks and the cardinal sin of murder(s).
Man city play the game beautifully and purely. Klopp knows and sees this so it's only natural for him to belief God would favour us.
In Pep we might have one of Gods archangels, a true gentlemen in human form who always seems to be able to "turn the other cheek" especially with the onslaught of attacks from the media.
As they dig at us from all angles maybe Pep quietly reflects "forgive them Father as they know not what they do".

Either way Klopps admission really does make me think i support the best team on the planet and that we are in very "safe" hands.

I don't trust any quotes posted online. Without seeing a video of him saying it, I'll not believe it's a real quote until I see this. The thing that is mad is that you could believe that he has said virtually anything at the moment, he is that unhinged.
