I think the most telling thing is that inside 6 mins he had 2 good chances and one chance that he was gifted by poor defending.He scored the chance you wouldn’t expect him to get, with his head (and it was a fantastic header tbf) and squandered the 2 chances with his feet.

I think he’s genuinely got world class movement off the ball, and that was what caused the awful defending from their CBs.

I’m really pleased for him, and I hope the confidence he must be piling up will lead to him converting more of those chances with his feet. I still worry that he’ll fluff a massive chance with his feet in an important game, and I never expect him to score when he’s in that position - I wish I could.

He definitely brings us movement, energy and graft. I think we all just have to accept that what he brings can outweigh his deficiencies, and hope that we don’t need to rely on him to score 1 on 1s or penalties.

Not sure we are ever going to take this out of his game, it’s all part and parcel of the package that is Raz Sterling but the positives massively outweigh the negatives

He’s still doing too much of his work too far from goal to be at his effective best. You can’t argue with the team’s performance but our wingers are definitely playing a system first and foremost, and sometimes that is a hindrance to their individual success

Totally agree if his control was even reasonable first half the game would be over. However his pace is important and they wouldn’t be able to get near him if his touch had been better.

A clinical fast player would have an absolute field day on this team but his pace gets him his chances. Granted his finishing and decision making is often poor but his goal record is still good due to said pace and good movement.

We’ve been here before in terms of his constant involvement and the overall threat he carries, but sometimes you have to put incidentals such as ‘movement’ to one side and just hold your hands up and say that was fucking abysmal. His capacity for spunking glorious positions by stumbling (I can’t bring myself to call it dribbling) into the nearest defender and losing the ball, was mind blowing tonight

I’ve never seen a player with such huge basic holes in his game, deliver what he consistently does numbers wise. Players with such deficiencies usually have a good few months, or a season and then fade.

He is either a shit great player, or a great shit player.

Another dreadful performance, said pre-match I've no idea what he's done to get a start ahead of mahrez and others. Mahrez did more in the last 20 than he did all game and he didn't even do much himself.

At some point Pep has to judge him on form, seems to be the only one that isn't in/out depending on their form.
