What I find amazing about this season is how it's played out exactly as expected for them and Klopp's not been able to do anything to change course.

Go back to December in this thread when they were flying high and you'll see in amongst the panickers, people predicting exactly what would happen to them.

@Ric was among the most egregious panickers...

It appears he is not going home Kaz7 partly due to travel restrictions under COVID and partly because his wife is “heavily pregnant”. Very sad times still. RIP

Horrible for him. I hope he can grieve in peace and that the abuse he has faced of late can stop.

Just checked my posts from December in this thread, and whilst pessimistic in tone I’m not sure you could really describe them as “egregious” panicking.

I still think Liverpool are the most likely team to win the league again this season, unfortunately. They won't lose many games, and will get stronger as they get injured players back. The game against Spurs next weekend will be interesting, but I expect them to win.

They’ve dropped 11 points from 13 games; that’s probably more than we could’ve hoped for really at this stage. The problem is that we have completely failed to take advantage and already find ourselves adrift.

Liverpool fans really hate us. What it comes down to is very similar to the attitude of the old nobility to "new money". scorn and contempt and the attitude that "however much money they have they'll still be below us". Remember the claim to be "European Royalty."

Although this fits in well with the class-ridden culture of this benighted island, it's hugely ironic that these people mostly claim to be "socialists." And even more so when you consider that a fair minority of them are pond-life.
