Torres was day dreaming, let the full back get a run on him. Zinchenko was doing what he was supposed to do

The winger wasnt Torres responsibility it was Zinchenko's , just like Mahrez doesnt track back on the other side , Zinchenko was initially twenty yards away when Coufal recieved the ball , the left back marks the right winger.
Pep's tactics are when we attack we defend as a three and the full back is inverted , and when defend we revert to a back four , Zinchneko did not do his job. To be fair its the only thing he did wrong all the game.

It was the West Ham full back who gets a run on Torres from the half way line, who crossed the ball
 
Tough game this & another we may have to grind out 1-2 nil, whatever team Pep chooses will be good enough to win it, but with plenty of prep time before the derby I expect him to go strong, Wolves have a few injury issues with Boly & Podence missing & obviously Jimenez, but will still cause us problems, especially Neto whom I rate highly, I wouldn’t be averse to the club moving Mahrez on in the summer & replacing him with Neto and maybe even Podence as well, both have huge potential
 
Football fans are a strange bunch.....had a quick look on one of the Wolves forums, they expect to get battered, anything less than 3-0 will be a result they'd happily take now but, this caught my eye.

The best we can hope for is Man City to have their worst game of the decade. Don't forget Martyn Tyler is on their side
 
Have been really unimpressed with Wolves this season. Jimenez and Jota are big misses for them.
If we have decent energy levels I can see only one outcome and that's a City win.

They have been way off their usual standards in recent seasons. The two players you've mentioned is a huge part of that. Podence and Boly unavailable tomorrow too.
I reckon Nuno will make changes too after playing Saturday night.

For me the throw in to someone being tightly marked in the middle of the pitch was the main reason for that goal. Accident waiting to happen that and it proved to be.
 
Expect Laporte to come back in for this one so that would mean Cancelo on the left and walker on the right.
Aguero and Kev on the bench for me.

You are right. I also think we are way too slow taking throw ins, always seem to allow the opposition time to mark anybody within the throwers range.

Without Foden, Bernie and Gabby we were unable to press from the front. Torres and Kun couldnt do it. That was the main reason we struggled a bit and they found it easier to play through us. Their goal was nicely executed and an example to others. Kun gave the ball Away in our half. It got shifted rapidly to their right wing. Zinchenko was inverted so no left back and Torres exactly where he should be when we have the ball with his feet on the touch line so they really had the run of the left. We did well to win and still were able to give Kun, Torres and Kev needed minutes. Things improved once Phil and Gabby were brought on.

Always a funny one is wolves

Results at the weekend afford Pep the ability to be a bit cute with the selection, I’d expect something similar to the West Ham game in that regard, not that it should t be enough again...

Much needed minutes in the legs of those on the periphery, I’m going 2-0
