Yesterdays men getting all giddy, dont be surprised if a few others surface over the next few days
you reckon i support that lot ahaha simply asking cos this happened with gundogan last season n now he’s become one of our best players this season.

I’ll keep all posts positive from now on

not really just asking a simple question. i don’t use this forum much
You thought it wise to open a new thread to ask a shit question? I hope you have thick skin, you'll fuckin' need it. That's if you hang around long enough. Mods will no doubt be on full rag alert now. Doubt you would have been around long enough to quote me had @FantasyIreland still been holding fort, pal.

Yep - thought I’d agree.

I think we have to give him credit for his movement - it’s not a coincidence that he finds himself in the position to miss sitters like that. I’d go as far as to say he reads the game well, when he isn’t in possession and doesn’t have to focus on keeping control of the ball.

But I agree - he seems to be exactly that at this point - an athlete first and a footballer second.

You never know, Pep obviously loves him, so he might restructure the team so that we play to his strengths and he can excel again. Let’s just hope that isn’t to the detriment of what we’ve just seen in the last few months.
A kind of natural goal scorer who’s a bad finisher?

didnt know i shouldn’t to ask this thread where else do you want me to put it. getting dogged for asking a question jesus christ

I think Pep is hoping games will help Sterling play through this form. It probably won't matter in the long run but we need him to be at his best at the business end of the season.

Sterling seems to be one of the most under rotated players in the squad yet i think compared to the seasons before this he has not had a good season at all.

Foden on the left would have been the obvious choice today especially with his form right now for me it seemed before the game i just don’t get it.

Why is pep so insistent on playing Sterling?
Jesus left Kdb central Foden on the right for this game where bissaka has his number

May as well play Ederson in attack vs United. He can't do worse than Sterling. No one can. How many career games is that now against them without a goal?
Must be close to 30 but then when you consider how many absolute sitters he’s missed too. Still, worth his place for his skill and vision against them

Sterling is going to play a key role in this season and many more, hopefully leading to several trophies in the process, including multiple this season possibly.

Whether you all like it or not.

So many embarrassing moments do you remember the one against Burnley on the goal line and he fucking muffed it. Unbelievable
Add about 25 more. Him and Jesus both strike a ball terribly. Sounds absurd when you consider what we’ve achieved and will go on to but it’s true

If he had the touch, composure and confidence he’d be absolutely lethal.

The fact he doesn’t seem to have those 3 facets to his game might be the reason he isn’t a striker. Ergo he’s played out on the wing - except his dribbling far to often seems to be into traffic and the defenders legs.

Unfortunately there isn’t a position that relies on a player simply being able to move well off the ball. At a club with our aspirations we really need someone who can finish as well, or beat his man regularly. I’m baffled as to why he was played against AWB today - Foden should’ve been on the left.

So will Gabby but that won’t make him a top class striker either. Might play a big part In another big game failure too.

Seems a valid question to me?

Sterling has played 20-30% more minutes than the other forward players, he looks short of confidence and his performances despite our form have not been his best. I think he would benefit from more rotation.

Thank you i’m not calling for his head i simply think Foden is in better form. i don’t think sterling usually gets much pleasure vs awb

i think trying a few games without him may be beneficial he looks like he’s lacking a bit of confidence
