Certainly seems more likely that Messi will stay now, and quite possible that Aguero will join him. If that paves the way for us to get Haaland then it’d be an outcome I could live with.

Does Barca have the money to renew and on top of that to spend on the squad? at least 2-3 great players they would need imo.

I hope it will be decided quickly as I dont want Txiki and Soriano spending weeks of playing shadow boxing with Messi's father ad their friend Laporta and then we miss out on some other great players in the meantime...

I think Laporta knows Messi is going and he'll be OK with it knowing the money will let Barca rebuild.

They have the beginnings of a great new team, really they only need a couple of players and for the kids to get more experience and improve.

It's a shame it's come maybe 18 months too late, Messi will be over the hill by the time they mature into a side capable of winning the CL which is what he wants.

Laporte is not good news for us obtaining messi. First time I am starting to have doubts. I hope he does not come sniffing for our Spanish contingent. Interesting summer ahead.
