United (H) Post Match Thread

Over it. Utd hit us on the counter-attack just like Spurs did. You concede after 1 minute then it makes their game plan.

Still don’t get how a Manchester man can referee a Manchester Derby
A Manchester man with three or four brothers with United season tickets. Years ago, you weren't allowed to ref a top level game in your local area. Have to say that Taylor doesn't appear to show the bias we all dread.

I’m as disappointed as the next blue about today. But those thinking the title race is back on is having a laugh. City are perfect opponents for United. They play a low block very well and have the pace and quality to hurt on the break. The mistake Pep made was not going for the same set up as Old Trafford for the 0-0. You need to draw them out.

Unshited’s problem is all the other teams that won’t attack them. They’ll struggle to beat West Ham next week. Five wins out of ten and it’s ours. Nobody will remember this when the medals are being handed out and hopefully it’ll be a shot across the bows for Pep and the squad that there’s plenty of work on to progress in the Champions League.

So they have a chance
Cudnt wait to give them the pen the alty man u fan!
It was a ridiculous, brain dead challenge and a stonewall penalty. Much as I dislike him, Alty was just fine today, good to see him even dish out a card for timewasting. He didn’t even need to be biased, which is a fairly damning indictment of our performance

Disappointing end to the run but still on chances could of been different.

Foden did more when he came on than a few others did for most of the game.
Roll on Southampton ....

Our shots per goal conversion rate has been the worst in the league for the last 4 full seasons straight (including relegated teams). Its an ongoing issue.

Seems mad when we are the top scorers or score 100 goals in a season to say this but as a percentage we are consistently terrible.

It doesnt matter in many games, as we score enough to beat most teams but it costs us periodically... We need to fix that once and for all...
So in reverse order it’s 1 (20.8), 3 (19.4%), 4 (16.2%), 5 (9.5%) getting worse I grant you
Don’t know where you get your stats from https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/premier-league/chancenverwertung/wettbewerb/GB1/saison_id/2020

Thought we've been looking tired the last few games. The wolves score was flattering because the reality was that we was at 1-1 and passing sidewards again.
Today was the inevitable outcome of that trajectory.

But its one match, I hope we can freshen things up with some proper rotation and come back stronger.

The only thing which pisses me off is Aguero constantly on the bench and we've started offering less and less goal threat. Feels like Peps been looking to exclude him since he got here but Aguero has always been playing well and scoring. Now he's got reason to leave him out.

We're all on the floor. Pep gives us the greatest football the Prem has ever seen and breaks records, but some still have a moan because 'it's cathartic'. Thankfully, the greatest coach in the world coaches us and not some catharsis seeking fan who thinks that from his living room he knows vital details that Pep doesn't. If you are a blue, and I assume you are without being certain, support your record breaking, history making team !!
Feck me have you swallowed a catharott!:))

If Serg had long Covid he probably needs to be carefully managed. Don’t think there is anything more to it than that

Yes there were some mistakes maybe in the line up but had Pep started Foden and Bernardo and we lose 0-2 too then people would be moaning for why KDB is on bench why isnt he bringing Sterling in at HT etc.

More of an issue when we concede early vs a strong team we are often fucked. Spurs away in November was the same, already behind in 5 minutes...

we are still in 4 competitions, Pep must rotate due to to crazy schedule, dont forget we started the season something like 6 weeks later than usual, without pre season. we hardly have a week break between two matches.

he rotated every week during the 21 win run, that was probably one of the reason we won so many.

The rags werent that great it just fell well for them. Yes, in retrospect team selection might be have been wrong but, frankly I found it hard to argue with. Conceding the pen so earlier made it hard to recover our composure, but we did eventually. Dominating procession and creating half chances I feel HT came to early. Then the rags got the second early in second half I don’t believe fatty meant that shot, did you see the shock on his face? We quickly regain our composure this time and created chances but, once again let ourselves down with fluffed shots It was one of those games and this fixture seems to be like that of late. Now then, we need to show we are the great team that everyone thinks we are and put things right on Wednesday, its crucial we don’t let it slip as after great runs often come a great fall We need to turn this defeat into a positive, a kick up the arse and start another run
Agree, they didn't play as well as pundits making out. They conceded loads of chances that we couldn't take - not the solid defence they're all on about on MOTD2.
