Oxford AZ has been halted in germany because of the risk of blood clots

I think this is like the HRT scares where the risk went up by one in a thousand and all of a sudden it will kill everyone

Vaccines are very safe

You've said you're 65 so one would assume you've had at least your 1st one unless you're refusing to have it
I have but i wouldn't come on here scaring people that haven't had it yet, by complaining about normal Vaccine reactions, taking my mum for her 2nd Jab tomorrow she's 89 and she can't wait and she felt a bit rough for a couple of days after the first one

Who's scaring people? People are coming on here and saying what their side effects are which far from scaring people is reassuring that it is not uncommon to have certain reactions to the vaccine. Btw best of luck to your mum tomorrow.

Pfizer second dose is meant to be a bastard, AZ first dose is the bastard. AZ second dose is meant to be a lot easier. Just the other way around for some reason.
I felt pretty much nothing after both Pfizer doses. My sister on the other hand was like she had been hit by a truck after the second one, was pretty much in bed 4 days after getting it.

Oxford yesterday , felt really ill, slept for thirteen hours , feel tired and chilly with a sore arm now , left it to late to vote
You've had COVID though anyway haven't you Kaz? Don't know what's the point of a vaccine to invoke an immune response and develop antibodies, in someone who presumably already has antibodies?

FWIW I had mine (AZ #1) today and a have a very, very slightly sore arm. Nothing else so far... and hoping it stays that way.

Because i was sick 12 months ago and my last antibody test they were barely there , everyone is getting vaccinated

Still yawning away and slightly sore arm , just feel tired

Had my AZ Saturday afternoon and now my side effects have gone as of this afternoon drank loads of fluid last 2 days
Mine was Saturday morning side effects developed about 18 hours later, not desperately ill just off chills and tired worked today, finished early had 4 hours sleep feel fine now paracetamol the wonder drug.

I got an antibody test 15 days after my AZ jab (through the ONS) and came up positive for antibodies, if anyone was after re-assurance
That is very reassuring. My first thoughts when the vaccines were close to the roll-out was that when everybody had the jab, they could download the test results and get a response, basically a big green V on your phone for having been vaccinated, or a bg green A for having antibodies present, if you hadn't had the jab yet. Or a big red W for not having anything and wasting everyone's time and effort.

Had both the Pfizer doses (healthcare worker). Bar a heavy arm no side effects whatsoever. Of the 25+ people I know that are fully vaccinated with Pfizer only one had side effects (dodgy stomach), everyone else fine

Well having had mine at 11:00 yesterday I am waiting for the potential ill-effects but so far none at all. No chills, headache, tiredness, nothing. A miniscule amount of arm pain which tbh had I not had the jab yesterday, I may not even have noticed. That miniscule.
