TV Series

Just finished watching "How to get away with murder", absolutely loved it, pretty easy to follow, the plot stays interesting and some really good characters, that Viola Davis is some actress and plays her character brilliantly ( oh and Aja Naomi King is gorgeous ;-) ).

You finished the whole lot or series 1? We enjoyed s1 but haven’t got around to the rest yet.

Utopia Ch4 is one of mi all time favourites. Think Amazon have just done a re make
This was brilliant and a conspiracy theorists wet dream/porn.

This was when conspiracies were cool but after the past year I just cannot entertain them anymore.

Starring the brilliant Paul Ready who plays such a calculating killer but the contrast to his role in Motherland can't be understated.
He's also in The Terror mentioned above.

Yeah the topic matter is very "current" with Covid too,

He was a fantastic character. It's a very violent series but stylishly violent I think

Would highly recommend to anyone who hasn't seen it

This was when Channel 4 could show some really good British productions and totally different to anything shown on the BBC (BBC4 aside).

There was another brilliant TV show (The Circuit) from a few years ago with Adeel Akhtar who was also in Utupia.
Huge shame it didn't get a full series (Sharon Hogan who I think is ace was behind it...):

Seen two seasons so far. Both were very good indeed.

Another David Simon project that is excellent is Show Me A Hero. Better to view it without knowing anything in advance about the real life events it is based on.
I just wanted to bump this and say thanks for the recommendation.
Absolutely brilliant bit of t.v mate. Cheers.

servant s2 finale. Fucking pile of shit. reminds me a bit of lost, started as an interesting premise but has absolutely fucking no idea how to finish it or reasonably explain anything.
3 rd series can suck a dick. Im out.

Haha. I haven't seen the last one yet but I've already decided that I won't be watching another series and the bloke that wrote it is a **** and can fuck off.
Then again, I said that after I watched his other steaming pile of dogshit, the village.

Right, message to all major fans of The Expanse.

I’m 4 episodes into Series 1 and finding it a real struggle, no real understanding of who the fuck is who, no affiliation to any person, nothing feeling clear storyline wise - is this just me, did everyone else find it like this initially? Please someone reassure me!
I lasted a few episodes of the 1st season when I originally tried to watch it. Went back about a year later and bam...stick with it. The first season is rather slow but s2 onwards is excellent.

Hmm... I'm just going through Apple TV+ and a show caught my eye but I'm not sure why.

It's called 'Calls'. You don't watch anything (besides subtitles), you hear it.

It's strangely interesting (and I like 'interesting' to be honest). I believe it was a French show first as I've done a little digging and, just based off the first ep, I'm torn between watching it or listening it!

Does anyone who's seen it have an opinion on it?

Behind her eyes.
6 part series on Netflix about a Doctor having a bit of hanky panky with his secretary.
The first 3 episodes are ok then I think the writers dropped some LSD and it went tits up for the last 3.

complete and utter shite with a terrible twist they made no attempt at setting up and just chucked it in there. Terrible writing.

still, Bono’s daughter isn’t half bad.
