Everton (FA Cup) Post Match Thread

The MOTM was Raz, by removing himself from the game he opened up different chances and possibilities for us and we duly used it. Gundo and Zinchensko together with Americ on the left had some great exchanges and he was destroying every single of them. Actually Gundo suffered as well, because he started holding onto the ball and lost quite a few of them. But once Phil moved to the left with Riyad hanging on the right and KdB back in business it was matter of.....6 minutes to make it so easy.
Zinchenko definitely needs to ask for substantial pay rise either with us or somewhere else. he's been playing like a clockwork, is there a defensively more improved player in the league right now? And shout to Gaby, that boy is one mean honey badger, his fighting spirit and preparedness to tussle for very single ball gives us so much advantage positionally. Him and Richarlison upfront for us would be fun to watch, I've never seen two more un-Brazilian Brazilian attackers since watching football, excellent on the ball, but run and wrestle like the third division players.
Richarlison is a soft twat.

Was worried they might fluke one from a deflection or corner but otherwise we deserved it.. well played Blues!

Ian Darke is getting worse. Mentioned that Everton beat City in the 1933 final.. talk about desperate. He’s shit at boxing commentary as well the bitter twat

what there was football before 1992 ??

Credit to Everton and their manager. He had them very well organised.massive credit to City for eventually finding a way through. That was a very tough slog. I’m enjoying the moments with this amazing team. Enjoy blues everywhere.

Agree, had a game plan, worked hard just got done by extra quality which happens
They were lucky to get 0. Appalling approach from a so called top club.
Sick of hearing the constant praise for these plucky opponents, the Prem/TV would be fucked if every team played like that.
Onwards and upwards Blues. Superb resilience and belief.

close to anti football from Everton trying to get us drawn into lump it long football, foul after foul especially gomez who could have been booked at least 3-4 times,in the end we broke their resilience and though I don’t like the twat fair play to Oliver for playing the advantage after the foul on de bruyne leading to the first goal ..

Think these are slightly unfair tbh. You dont go toe to toe with City unless you have top talent which we dont, nevermind missing James and Doucoure, 2 of our best players in an important area of the pitch.

The plan was obviously to stay compact, dont leave spaces and see if we can hit on the counter. We done well to a point but just lacked quality and ultimately got beat by a better team, no issue with that. Ideally I would like us to be much better on the ball but hopefully its something we address in the summer.

I understand your frustration when teams do that but its a complinent to your quality

Raheem's form will take a turn for the better soon enough..Dias must be worth 100 million now. KdB back to his best.Phil just gets better each game. Haaland will be the icing on the cake if we get him. There's at least another 5 years of trophies in this squad.

Hard fought, subs did the business.
Always supported Raz but that 78 mins was a big worry, hopefully the Int. break will do him good.

Everton were a disgrace and got exactly what they deserved. 26 years without a trophy and they turn up like that?

Fern just continues to be immense and Gundo has shamed me into not knowing fuck all about football, aside from the fact he has changed position ;)

Love this man.

Foden, tight as a drum, Iniesta-like confidence.

Anyway, the wife has made a chicken and spinach curry and I have a nice bottle of Shiraz to top it off, so spicy is the name of the game tonight.

C'mon City!!!
