Did seem odd how the Reading keeper seem to do her hamstring after about 20 minutes, needed about 5 minutes treatment and than was fine for the rest of the match.
Normally when a player has a hamstring problem they cant carry on for another 70 minutes.
She was doing kicking as normal and made some good saves after.

She was, There are balls scattered all down the touchlines, but she chose at one point to walk over to the corner flag, past another ball, to retrieve the ball that had just gone out. Blatant timewasting that is one of the biggest blights on the game. If players were booked immediately or it instead of the useless ref waiting till the 87th min to do summat about it the game would improve no end.
Refs do book players the first time for time-wasting. If they’re wearing a City shirt.

Remember Ederson against Wolves, I think it was, after their 'keeper had spent the entire first 85 minutes at it?

Fair point, but they rarely do anything about it until late in a game, it's definitely one of football's blights.

IIRC, Pierluigi Collina used to stamp that shit out, straight away. When he noticed things getting out of hand he'd glare at the player that was the subject of his ire.

Then he'd book them if they went past his patience.

So, a ref could control the game, if they want and players will always push the boundaries if the rules allow them to.

I agree, they could, sadly they rarely do.

I'm not feeling sorry for reading's keeper, or any of them, as they were niggly, time wasting, and ultra negative at playing football. Great game plan, but they'll be half way down the M6 right now, wondering why it didn't get them a point, well simply because you didn't deserve one.

Ultimately, I agree. I don't care about the keeper, nor the Reading team.

I just felt the keeper made some VERY good saves that a neutral would appreciate bar the other stuff.

Yeah but that was Mason. Can't apply any sort of ruling when that overweight, bent, useless........just fill in the list

When we signed Chloe Kelly I thought we would be getting a good young player. In my opinion, she had exceeded all expectations I had. She is the real deal.

To me, she is our best signing from last summer. Yes, Mewis has been outstanding at times. However, she appears to be a one and done. Chloe has been and should continue to be a great player for us.

Commentary was good, funny ( not ) when Lucy Bronze went down with a bad head injury, an ambulance went past and they said ‘that was quick’
It's funny the amount of sirens you hear when watching games at the Academy Stadium, but with a Ambulance station and Fire station nearby its understandable.
But it does make it sound like down town New York, and i bet people watching around the country think? I bet they're thinking, God that Manchester a ruff city !

The commentator for the first hamstring injury said ‘ they’ve given her a couple of painkillers’
Is that allowed?

Pain killers ? I am no doctor but I wouldnt have thought it was a good idea to give pain killers for a muscle injury. Surely you will only do more damage to the muscle but just not feel it and playing on.
I am not to sure pain killers would work on a hamstring, ok to take the pain away when resting but to hide the pain and play on seems mad.

And foul throwa! I'v not seen another team pulled up for a foul throw when they demonstrate an identical throw in to the ones we've been penalised for!
