Erling Haaland

no I am not. He is a very good player and been unlucky with injuries. At a good age and cheap fee and if we intend to promote youth with Delap it makes perfect sense.

I agree. I also think the same about delap.we potentially have our own version of Haaland and we should be doing everything we can to help him develop and become a top player

He's a thousand times better than Scott Sinclair, so that part is harsh. But yeah, he could turn out to be Rodwell/Bony level if he has injuries. He could also turn out more like Jamie Vardy has done and continue scoring a good volume of goals into his 30s.

If (and its a big if) we see Delap as the answer in 2 years, then maybe a stopgap would be OK.

Ifs buts and maybes.

I kind of agree about not wanting a stopgap, but some stopgap make more sense than others. This is pretty much the only one I think might make sense.
Ings is perhaps not 1000% better than Sinclair. I'd say 17% max.

And does he even have a super hot actress wife?

Is anyone else gettig quotes randomly inserted when replying? not even ones i intended to respond to.

Fanciful to think we’d be paying 120-150 mil for this player. We just won’t because of the way we do business in transfer mkt.
Pep pretty much said as much in his presser.
The only way this kid lands on our doorstep is after another 12 months his lower release clause is met and we agree personal terms with him. And even that is doubtful because other clubs would throw silly money wages at him that would blow our wage structure out of the water.
Hope I’m wrong but I just can’t see him in our colours.

He had no issue telling aguero, I doubt he'd tiptoe around gabi.
It was both a deflection and a message.
All in the game yo.

Aguero wasn’t getting the game time Gab is. But yeah I get what you’re saying, I trust the club either way to do what they thinks best for us

be interesting to see what happens with Delap , seems highly rated , ive not seen much of him personally , his goal record for the youth teams is very impressive though .
The romantic in me would love to see him and Taylor hardwood Bellis ,Tommy Doyle become regular first team players .
Difficult to see though .
Haaland looks incredible for the right price im sure well do business ,although its not the end of the world if we dont get him ,weve looked great this season playing without a striker effectively , if the club sign ings ,im sure it wouldnt get pulses racing but could be a valuable addition to an already great squad.
I do think with Aguero going though were going to try and sign a marquee centre forward ,all indications are the Haaland is the man

I know he has had injuries but Ings goals return is pretty average to be honest, he isn't gonna replace a 30 goal a season striker or even a consistant 20+ one.

If he bcame cheaply enough and was there as a foil for Delaps introduction then fine, but he wouldn't start ahead of Jesus for me, who brings more than just goals to the starting 11

So his agents have been seen in Barcelona, now about this here thing called ffp, how can Barcelona a club on the verge of bankruptcy even be in the running for a player likely to cost 100m-150m.
They've already failed it on the last 3 accounts (losses of 80m) and Laporta is talking about 350m losses this year. So unless UEFA have the balls to ban them for a decade there isn't really a proportional punishment. It's not FFPR Barca need to worry about, it's administration.

The leaking of the Ings story along with Peps comments in the presser yesterday is basically a shout out that if you take the piss with prices we've got cheaper alternatives already lined up and available.

It’s nothing to do with his quality compared with those players. It’s about wasting money on lesser players.
Everytime we bought the 2nd level players it’s been a waste.
You’re better off not buying anyone.
The list is endless:
Rodwell
Sinclair
Jovetic
Navas
Nolito
Fernando
Garcia
...

Love the way pep quietly put a pin in the whole hype balloon.

Navas and Fernando justified their fees.
