Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

Thing is, MP, I’m not sure anyone down here thinks the Tory party are anything more than dangerously stupid cunts, but the alternative is even worse.
How could it possibly be worse Phil? Brexit is the disaster predicted and it's only just begun. Fishing on its knees Financial sector relocating. UK firms who can afford it l, having to open plants in Europe. Inward investment will topple as they need access. A Fantastic deal with Japan worth 0.007% of our old EU deal. Northern Ireland on the brink. Covid we are the worst death rate per capita in the world. They have stolen billions and given it to their pals. You have been duped into believing it would be worse. Imagine what you would be saying if Corbyn was in charge of this shit show? It wouldn't be worse, but as long as you fall for the media bias and anti left propaganda you will be lead by the nose down a path that is contrary to your interests.

Here’s the thing though; the public voted for brexit, and a great many politicians of all persuasions did their utmost to thwart it. Doesn’t matter if you agree or disagree, it was a democratic vote, the people have spoken. Nobody, as far as I can remember, said we shouldn’t seek to reclaim our fishing rights, even though we could never consume that many fish. And it’s on its knees due to retaliatory measures introduced by a spiteful EU blocking imports. Covid I agree has been a shitshow from start to finish, but different countries score deaths differently. I’m reminded of the absolute radio ad ‘most popular radio station in North Korea with 240% of the vote’ but here 27 days ago I tested positive for coronavirus and today I got run over by a bus. How does covid end up on the death certificate and how am I a victim of covid? However, I’d say the vaccine procurement and rollout has been an unqualified success, and vindicates the governments decision to go it alone. I haven’t been duped, I’m no fan of a lot of what this government has done, I don’t trust any of the self serving greedy cunts. If you or I had been defrauding the public purse on the scale they did with their exes, we’d be sewing mailbags still my friend. But still I can’t believe there is a credible alternative in this country.

The EU aren't discrimatorily blick8ng imports. Again, don't listen to the Right wing, it's their rules for every country not in the club. We left, s8gned the deal that included fishing and you're blaming them.fir keeping to the deal Boris said was oven ready. As for Covid, we are the highest and I haven't even heard the different countries thing yet. But it's bollocks. The roll out was done by the NHS and not the Gov pals, so obviously they are going to do a good job. The fact we can vaccinate more is a good thing but doesn't tell the while story. Vaccines meant for EU were delayed and they made a **** if it. But we needed it more because, we are the worst in the world. As for the fraud and theft, nobody will go to jail, although if we were involved in sure we would be banged up. I just don't think we would be worse, unless Labour went around door to door 8nfecting people, fucking up trade, sending billions to Cuba and trying to get trade deals with Emperor penguins, for all the leftover fish.

Love the line about emperor penguins :)
Still, my point about Brexit remains. The public voted for it. You may say they were ill informed and you may be right. Boris rode that ticket and delivered on a democratic vote, for better or worse.
Be fun to revisit this conversation in a couple of years.

Compounding the offence. He never meant it to happen, lied to win it, lied to get it through, lies to pretend it's not the shitshow he knows it is, but I'm afraid his supporters and Brexit voters are still in thrall to the unicorns (and now the electoral bribes).

Now where are those ONS export figures?

Like he gives a fuck....................
I'll give it until after Phil's funeral for Irish Joe and the Toaiseach ordering Boris to meet them in Portrush or an Irish coastal resort with the DUP and Sinn Fein to get this sorted. Naturally, he will send that oaf of a secretary instead and that might be the push needed for the other tories to get rid.

He'd better not send Brandon Lewis he needs to have him taken there........Lewis is so thick he'd rock up in Portsmouth instead of Portrush

Voting for something doesn’t mean that the negative consequences of that vote can be brushed aside, and also doesn’t mean it was a good idea. However, we did vote for it and therefore we’re stuck with it for the foreseeable future so we need to make the best of it. Johnson seems to be deliberately doing the opposite simply to appease certain influential factions within the party and doesn’t appear to care about all the problems his course of action is causing. He prefers to just lie about it and hope that enough people either believe the lies or believe the smears against the opposition so that he can stay in power and carry on with his idiotic English nationalist insular agenda.

Yes we did vote for Brexit. I have said many time our right wing press have for 40 years consistently told us how ‘bad’ the EU are and it is not surprising that people believed it. Just look at the negative press City get and it is no wonder that we are disliked. Exactly the same.

If you look at the demographics of those that voted to leave it shows that those that have been the object of the negative press the longest - those over 50 voted to leave whereas those younger who rarely, if ever, get their news from newspapers voted to stay.

It is done now and we have to take the consequences. Having served in NI during the ‘troubles’ I fear for what is happening over there. Years ago it all started with a few protest marches Bernadette Devlin etc and looked how that ended up.

Comment from the Eurasia Group on the difficulties of reaching some form of working agreement on the NI protocols...sums it up to be honest.

Violence in NI is putting pressure on both sides to adopt a more conciliatory tone. Esp Johnson, who many tell me is in denial about role his Brexit deal is playing in sparking violence in NI. But the need to be seen to be constructive is v different than actually closing gaps.‘

If there was a public vote to bring back hanging and corporal punishment I've no doubt the public would vote for it. Wouldn't make it right though.

A couple of points on your posts.
There are no 'retaliatory' measures being imposed by the EU on our fishing industry. It's their rules which we knew about when we signed up to the WA and trade deal.
We might not agree with the rules but so what?
You say the Tories are the only credible alternative.
Why?
Maybe Keith's perceived as a bit of a joke at the moment but then BoJo's a joke.
Shadow cabinet's inexperienced? Look at the current lot. Look at the cronyism. The lies and the phoney culture wars. The handling of the pandemic pre vaccine? OK vaccine good but does that make up for 70k avoidable deaths?
My point is that while Keith and Labour might not amount to much it wouldn't actually take much to improve on this current lot.

He's PM of GB, but he's acting like PM of England.

Everything he does amounts to burning the intangible wealth of this country. That being, Great Britain.

From the cronyism, the disrespect to the fourth estate, the disrespect for rules, disrespect for the rule of law, disrespect for parliament, disrespect for the office, the knock on of Brexit, the atmosphere of divide and rule, the proliferation of confusion and misinformation that leads to a public that is guided by pure emotion, distrust and cynicism towards every aspect of democracy apart from the popular vote. Even our rights as citizens. None of these appear on any balance sheet, but they are as important, if not more so, than the balance and borrowing sheets. It's all wealth, our wealth, the wealth created by us, our parents, our grandparents, it's what we leave behind to our children.

And it's all going up in smoke, because he knows it doesn't register on people's radar. It's easier to identify a flag, easier to identify someone else's language as different, than to understand, nurture, invest in any of the real stuff that makes YOUR country worthwhile.
