Pay up his contract and let him go, he’s done nothing in his time with us and it’ll free up a space in the squad
You wait in a few years they'll be a sequel to "Catch me if you can" only this time it will have Mendy as the lead cast charading as a professional footballer, true story and all.

What has puzzled me about us signing Mendy was that it was based on his performances against us whilst at Monaco...We scored 7 goals in them 2 games whilst he played in defence

Don't think he offers anything at all tbh. An attacking fullback who offers pretty much nothing going forwards. His departure is long overdue, it's not worked at all

Such a shame. Was so excited when he signed for us after seeing him for Monaco, he was so dangerous for them, even in the first few games he played for us.

Injuries have just killed his pace and ability to get up and down the line. Horrible to see what injuries can do to a player, looks clearly out of his depth playing today. Can't see them doing it, but tbh terminating his contract this summer might be the best for all parties.

Don't forget Ibrahimovic if you are mentioning Mangala. As for Mendy the 5-0 vs Liverpool was his best performance at City.

I think he’s quite an inspirational person. He’s walking proof that you can be successful despite doing fuck all.

He’s won multiple PL titles, domestic cups and the World Cup despite weakening every side he plays for.

I feel for the lad as injuries have robbed him of reaching his potential. When we signed him I was hoping for a player with the best attributes of Clichy and Kolarov, in a pacey full back who could cross a ball. In reality we’ve got a player who is essentially Gael Clichy without the pace.

Yep Not his fault today. He is just crap. It’s not like what we are seeing is unexpected. It’s Peps fault for keep playing him. Surely that’s his last game for us unless the odd dead rubber at the end of season. Walker/Cancelo and Zinchenko can rotate those positions although the way Cancelo is playing currently it would be Walker and Zinchebko for most games for me now.

Think the best we can hope for is to loan him out, and maybe pay half his wages. What's his book value close to 20M? Paying up his contract and his book value would cost us a fortune in the account's.
