He was no help attacking today but I agree it's an easy scapegoat. Absolutely nothing he could do on the goal when Cancelo allows let them to attack that side in the blink of an eye.

Thing is he was fast then. He could get forward and whip in a cross and use recovery speed if his teammates held up. Now he’s just an immobile sort of winger. It’s truly not his fault but he can’t physically play his position

It’s reached the stage that to describe him as a football player is stretching it a bit, there are conference players who are more dependable than him. If we can’t sell him we should just come to an arrangement regarding the rest of his contract and free up a squad place for someone else.

But Mangala was shipped out as he didn’t fit into the system whereas Mendy is still getting games despite doing nothing to justify it

Mendy wasn't to blame for the defeat (and in fact he had played a part in us getting to the semis in the first place) However there is only one domestic cup game to go and after that we won't get to hear anymore bellyaching over him starting.
