I suspect it is the CEO and not the Chairman saying sorry because the CEO was recommending it and Khaldoon employs people like him to evaluate football related situations. Soriano fucked up, so Soriano apologises. I assume there will be a second specific apology for the fact that Glazer was giving quotes on our official website, whilst our own people were totally AWOL.

The more I think about it, the more I wonder if letting Glazer hang himself with that quote on every teams website wasn’t a genius idea by all the other clubs. Basically says look everyone, this was all Perez and man United’s doing.

I'm glad it doesn't mention anything about the idea still being something to pursue like the other clubs have done and in fact mentions wanting to protect values that they nearly destroyed. Actions speak louder on that part but it's a start.

spot on mate. His decision, his recommendation. He should carry the can if we are subject to serious sanctions.

When it comes to transfers a whole team of different people come together to agree on the approach. To think a decision of this importance is based on Soriano's input alone just doesn't wash.

We do things as a team after valuable input from a multitude of sources.

Our current owners have been brilliant since day one. They may have made a wrong decision this time but it says something about them that they were the first to correct it. They still have plenty of credit in the bank for me.
