Alexandole Boris de Pfeffel Johnson

It looks like he’s served his purpose and those that put him into power have decided it’s time for a change.

It’s a sad state of affairs that major elements of the media control the narrative rather than report the news. If they did what they were supposed to, we wouldn’t have been saddled with the useless lying lardarse in the first place.

Boris Johnson doesn’t give a fuck what folk think about what he’s supposedly said/done cos he knows he will get away with anything he wants to - the public love him and no rival from any party including his own can command that public support.

Do you care what he’s allegedly said?

I don’t like the ****, but I’m not especially arsed about what he’s said. Sounds like an off-the-cuff, throwaway, metaphorical comment most of us say from time to time and regret straight afterwards. Doesn’t mean he wanted people to die.

And of course he’s denying it - he’s a lying ****; what else do people expect ffs?

Wasn't there talk about 6 months ago that he was going to leave this year? Maybe this is his way of getting out.

Well that's a ringing endorsement of the British public.
Makes you all warm and tingly inside.

If I was BJ I'd be pretty pleased that After the last two years all people are focused on is the decorating bill for my flat and an alleged throwaway remark. Personally I think he has some rather more serious things to answer for and this is just a distraction and tittle-tattle by comparison.

It just adds to the list. He has somehow survived up to now because of his friends in the press and the shameful contempt this government holds for the public, this is the end of a long list and the lies of Boris trump will soon be his downfall.

Possibly, but there were similar arguments to suggest he was unelectable in the first place. I think it likely that his own party will turn upon and oust him when he has absorbed most of the post brexit / covid damage. I don't think they will want the new incumbent tainted by a 3rd covid winter so much will depend on the pandemic. To an extent I think moral / personal expectations of BJ are so low to start with that these things are not actually that damaging - finding out a twat is a twat doesn't really have the impact that finding out a decent person is a twat does.

It’s true - all he has to do is put on a high vis jacket and a hard hat and waffle on in a plummy voice and he turns on voters in their thousands - no other politician can do this - especially other party leaders who seem pretty vanilla in Johnson’s shadow - Sturgeon being the only exception.

That answers the question why he's seen so often in a high vis. I've seen motorway workers less often in a high vis. It's so fucking transparent it's amazing so many people are taken in by it.

Spot on. He's untouchable.

As @Mazzarelli's Swiss Cheese mentioned if they really do want to replace him then they'll have to bear in mind a possible third Covid winter etc. So it may be worth keeping him on to take the brunt of that a bit like when May was put through the wringer towards the end of her spell regarding Brexit matters.

But there's no one to replace him so not sure they will go down that path.

The party will bin him off mate, he won’t survive. He can’t
End of March posted a prediction of a series of stories that aim to kick him out within 3-6 months and here we are.

He was the face of Brexit and has been portrayed as the Covid Saviour.

Now, they need him gone while 2-3 years to the next GE. If he stays he will self destruct - it's just a matter of time. They need him gone soon and consigned to history, any major disasters nearer to the GE would risk damage.

He's destined for the bargain bucket of autobiographies and panel show appearances.
