Long weekend in Istanbul at end of May - Turkey on Govt Red List

I don't like it personally don't sit well with me.

Watch it here, but don't go getting on flights for no need.
You can't fly there at the moment as a tourist and flights to Turkey are suspended. If that continues then it won't be a problem, people will be refunded their money. If the flight suspension is lifted then they'll be comfortable with people travelling.

If its an all English team final, why not move the final to Wembley? Then fans could attend, Istanbul could have the revenue for the game and the promise of another final in a couple of years.
Please someone high up the ladder make a common sense decision. Or am I asking too much???

Playoff final is booked in at Wembley that day.

Fingers crossed it might get moved. Even Turkey might prefer for it to be delayed a year, so they can welcome fans and properly showcase their country.

The thing is though, where do you move it that can satisfy demand and not impact COVID restrictions?

The match might not be played in Istanbul. Apparently UEFA are still to decide.

Play it at Anfield.

It's worth the risk.

Let's see the f***ers try and attack the coach with 10,000's of City there.

Actually, flights between the UK and Turkey are NOT suspended. Manchester Airport is seeing upto three flights per day with two by THY Turkish Airlines to Istanbul's new airport and one per day by Pegasus to Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen on the Asian side of the Bosphorus. Not sure who is flying on them though. Perhaps cargo is sustaining them, because they're certainly restricted for booking by regular UK passengers.

New York is an option UEFA are looking at, 3pm or 4pm local time kick off which would be 8pm or 9pm UK time

You're right, they resumed very recently:

Apologies for the misinformation.

At the moment anyone who flies has to complete two private tests when they come back to the UK and isolate for ten days too. Not sure what that it'll be like in a month mind.
